well truthfully i forgot to save/bookmark the original image and didn't want to go though 80 pages of danbooru to find it again, and i would have had to render it and change all the colors, it was mostly laziness D:

I think he means he can't it look more night from only changing colors. He'd have to do more then that.

Edit: Didn't realize we were on page 5..

Umm, theme is abstract. Just something with blues on a black background. Artistic and appealing. My name at the top.

I'd add some nice broken glass looking triangles with little shadows and whatnot that make a stained glass penguin and the whole thing is in a spaceship that's going to land on

Okay I lost it.

This would be ridiculously cool.

But seeing as how that is probably a thousand times more work than you are interested in putting into it, here are some different things I like that might inspire you.

Additionally, I love the artistic styling of frederic plateus.

Anything plateus-esque is cool. I have linked you specifically to my favorite piece of his.

If this is not helpful at all, I apologize. And I'll take the plain-jane background.

WELL do you have Flash? What I like doing is making tedious vector components in Flash, then exporting them as PNGs and importing them to another program where I get them all sexy looking. So like, if you made a bunch of simple patterns in Flash and then imported them that might make things easier.

And if you don't have Flash then yo wot^

Why use Flash? Why not Illustrator?

See I'm outdated and use Flash and Fireworks 8 for everything I do so I forget that there are other more practical solutions in the world GWAHAHAHA.

Personally though I'm more comfortable with Flash just for quick little vector things. But really use Illustrator, it's more practical.

itt we pirate programs

http://forum.cgpersia.com/full-applications-releases/

CGPersia has pretty much every artistic program on the planet (it's not just 3d stuff), complete with cracks/serials, and it's all clean.

Have fun.
