Probably a 76. Just me previewing the files arcanum is harder than the simpsons, but that's just me.

Arcanum is dense as fuck for a 76. Compare it to Sleep
Some anchor-y hidden trill-y stuff but it's the kind that I'd have to play without lag to judge, but my gut says 76 is low lol


p.s. while you're tinkering with difficulties, move Wood Man down to 77 or 76 imo

Pretty neat files! Child protective service is quite difficult to AAA.

Simpsons - should be 76 or 77. I will enjoy trying to pull an SDG from this.

Arcanum Guardian - Imo this is 80. There's no jumpstream as dense in any FMO song. Then there's poly jumpjacks and handjacks. Definitely enjoy this and there's plenty of fun to play for a long time

Arcanum reeeeeeally doesn't feel like FGO material to me, but it looks like you guys are talking as if it is.. (edit: watched the replay again and even with that jumpstream density, I still don't see it)

I'm okay with 77, iffy on 78, and very much against 79+

Plus I don't think Simpsons should go lower than 77 with those incredibly awkward 24th streams.

I need to go pick up some last minute things (including magdaddio) before I leave for moon land tomorrow, you guys can settle on difficulties here and I'll change when I get back. But if it's a clusterfuck of opinions I'll probably just move Arcanum to 77 and leave Simpsons alone.

edit: i think if anything simpsons should be 77 and arc should be 78. or both a 78.
theres just so much in arc to slip up on, and only 1 section in simpsons thats remotely hard, the rest is pretty doable.

I honestly think the difficulties should just be switched from Arcanum and Simpsons.

78 for Arc, 76 for Simp. 77 is fine for Simp too but yeah.

Arcanum is dense, but patterns are ezpz, Simpsons is p dense+fast along with nasty 24th patterns

I looked more into Simpsons, it seems like the 24th section that everyone is talking about is the watered down version of the Solo in RWOB which IMO is slightly tricky but nevertheless pretty simple to handle (especially in Iso). Looking at the JS, seems like a watered down version of Serious Shit and an extended slightly more NPS version of Vs Boss Battle. No way does this song go over Difficulty 77.

Arc seems more technical especially dealing with a watered down jump section similar to Heterocromia Iridis except the jumps scale upward (not on mirror; opposite) from 1-4. I would call this close cousin of Sleep. Difficulty 78 at the absolute highest, otherwise comfortably 77 as well.

Simpsons at 77 or 78 is fine, just as long as it doesn't give Scarhand. The 24ths are intense but not quite Scarhand worthy (I might just be biased though since I've playtested the 24ths extensively).

Also if you think the 24ths are bad, you should have seen what this file looked like when I was stepping the full version and I got to the 160 BPM part of the song... Basically it was MFDFY on steroids.

Haven't actually played Arcanum yet, I'll post my thoughts later.

EDIT: Going to have to agree with yo man on Arcanum. It's a 77 at the very most IMO.
