Default Anyone else have links to token art?

My current pet project on this site is to get all the token graphics updated.
Some of them are outdated as fuck and it would look better if all of them had a consistent level of image quality and relevance to the song/unlock requirements.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For example, these images are good. The image alone shows exactly what file they are for (or, if you don't know all the token songs, you can certainly at least infer what kind of song/file it could be)
They also all have the solid color band with shadow on the right side that gives them the iconic 3D effect, and are free from quality issues.

These tokens all have some problem, and need to be updated.
Respectively: Missing the proper coin border effect, missing a border at all, pixels cut off from the top, terrible quality in general, having the finger icon meant for skill tokens when it's a normal token (this one could possibly slide, because it's a skill token at heart, just in a weird category), and NOT EVEN BEING A TOKEN AT ALL (wtf Tass). This is just a sample of the ones that I would eventually like to get brought up to current quality.

Finally, these tokens have an issue where the token image has nothing to do with the song, file, or requirements.
I happen to know why they have these images, from site history, but that doesn't mean it's clever or a reference worth keeping.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

gold stinger has an excellent thread with candidate token images and templates.
The HD versions are also useful, as I'm considering trying to get the token image to display in-game when you unlock it.
But that's far in the future, and not something that's absolutely required at the moment.

If anyone else has a link to a thread or post with good (and currently unused) token images in it, please post it here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the moment I am just seeing if anyone else has resources.

I am also curious if this forum (being the place where the art-y types hang out) is interested in another tournament image contest in the vein of the old Token Image Contest. Last time it was held it turned out far more popular than anticipated, and led to some really high quality- and funny as hell- token images. Since this forum is rather quiet these days I'm not anticipating as much response as before, but maybe I'll be surprised.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I remember someone reworked the borders of some tokens a few years ago (2011-2012?) but I can't find the thread/post. I found this old thread that had a few propositions.

Ah thanks, I was looking for that one.
I know there's been several other threads by people of that nature too, so please keep a lookout.

Tokens can get overwhelming on a persons profile when they have a lot. Is there a way to simplify it?

Token graphics is my responsibility. I haven't made unique token graphics for all the old ones already, because I didn't think we were planning on changing all of them. The last time we tried was back in 2008 (I was going to link to the same thread noname linked to), and Tass wouldn't do anything with the old ones. (I can make better tokens now than I could back then, anyway.) I don't know who all's approval we need to get going, but I'd be happy to start.

I do have .psds for all my token graphics and can save 4x versions. Sometimes I made multiple versions, so my .psd might not have all the correct layer settings in it. Somehow I only just learned about layer comps this month, but I use those now, so each version can be saved in one file. I'll make an imgur album with the big tokens and post the link to it.

I did improve my template over time, so some of my older ones need fixes, like making the rim and edge more distinct. It wasn't until just the other day that I realized, as a game manager, I can change token graphics. So I'll be making some of those fixes, and I can update blank tokens whenever.

Even though the token contest did find some good winners, some tokens didn't have any above-average submissions, and some winners had clear edge problems.
