FFR with a DDR pad
Is it possible?
i dont have one but i would imagine you could use some kind of keymapping i post on this little ddr community and it would be good news if i had something to show like a little way for them to play the easy files on ffr with the ddr pad so if its possible explain then i could make some little tutorial |

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
It's possible, I'd think. Just hook up your dance pad with an adapter like you would for SM, and map the keys to the arrow keys, and I'd think it would work, but I'm not completely sure.

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
Pretty much you're going to need a Key Mapping device like you said and have whatever the computer registers your pad steps for as what your current keys are mapped for on FFR. I'll try doing this later today if I can figure out what keys the computer registers my DDR pads.

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
I'm sure it does. Just have it to where the pad replicates the signal the arrow keys produce.

many many many people have done this before... would have assumed it was common knowledge.
either way, yes... you can play FFR with a dance pat. the issue is boos. since DDR doesn't have boos, it's hard not to get them in FFR when using a pad. also, the levels are way harder, as they aren't geared for feet play. you can use AHK or the MRichards keymapper for it. along with a USB mat.

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
the usb pads i use for stepmania work with ffr. I tried it a couple days ago and it's impossible because of the boos, unless you can play with one foot
*-Also my pad configured without an ffr keymap

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
Well here's how I did it.
I used AHK. I opened up SM and went into the key config and found out what arrow on the pad was what to my PC. Then in my AHK script assigned the arrows to JoyX. I ran that script then played on my pad. Boos are a huge problem though. |

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
Rockband drums would be great! I bet you could even do pretty well with them. Songs like Club would be cake on drums, but are hard on fingers. Interesting.

Re: FFR with a DDR pad
Go into the registry and reduce the key repeat delay to like 30 seconds. :\ Boo issue gone. First you gotta figure out how to do that though. Shouldn't be hard.
