I don't leave my house much. You could say I'm a hermit.

@Hunter, it's basically a meditative state where your "inner camera", basically what you see in your mind as a reflection of what your eyes calculate, moves about a theoretical space around you because of the relaxation I guess. You could call it tripping out without drugs I guess, I dunno. Basically for me, when it's good, I completely lose perception of my physical body and there is really severe tunnel vision, and in the peripheral part of the tunnel vision there are visuals and hallucinations, and in the focal line of sight it's as if I'm "entering" whatever I'm looking at, like a 3D tv screen appears and the thing I'm staring towards. For instance, generally I stare at a solid space, like my black speaker. It's like you've zoomed and pressed your face right up to that speaker and you're seeing a window through it, only it's not necessarily parts of the speaking that you're seeing. Generally vibrant colours and landscapes and fractals etc. ...it comes with a depersonalization disorder.

Re: Let's Talk about Hobbies.
I'm still training so to speak, I can't induce an LD every night I want but I can remember about 2-3 dreams a night.
Here's a guide of you want to try it out which I suggest you do because you could practically do whatever you want. I read about a guy who shot his head off in his dream just for ****s and giggles, he said it felt like his head went inside out and then back again without any pain. In my LD's I usually run fast as hell and then jump, it's amazing. I haven't mastered flying yet but I think I'm getting close. For those of you who want to try it: http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html It explains just about everything you have to know about LD's. Good luck! |

Re: Let's Talk about Hobbies.
That site reminds me of Yoshi's Island :3
Also, there's also a lot of info/community feedback and discussions here if you're interested: http://www.dreamviews.com/content/ Really interesting stuff, lucid dreaming. I've tried to master flying but it happens so little that I don't get to test that out very often :l I find that once in an LD I'll be lucid for quite some time then it'll drift back into a state of just vivid dreaminess in the world I've constructed and it gradually deforms time and time again. Most of the times I have become lucid started with a false awakening, generally. But yes, for another hobby, learning and understanding about abstract concepts or the minds of certain people.

Re: Let's Talk about Hobbies.
My LD's usually starts with false awakenings too. I remember one time I became lucid the dream was already too epic to mess with so I just went along with it.
Our subconscious is scary though, everytime someone tries to give me food in my dreams, they die. Like that one time I dreamt that my granny was going to visit us a stormy night, and she had brought bananas which she forgot in her car. I watched her through my kitchen window as she was going to go get them and just as she reached for the door handle, she got struck by lightning causing her to stand there and like vibrate for about 10 seconds, her hand still on the handle, then there was a loud BANG and she went flying about 10-15ft in the air doing like 5 backflips, landing in a ditch closeby and stopped moving. And all I did was just pointing at her through the window and said something along the lines of "Daad, grandma just died..." without any emotion at all. It was sad as hell when I dreamt it but now I just laugh at it haha |
