An interesting bet
How do you think this will turn out?
Somehow last night, while talking to my g/f, we got to talking about how she wants to break some eating habits, but isn't willing to even try to break them. It came to the point where she was willing to bet that she could. The bet lasts for 2 months : She isn't allowed to eat any kind of chocolate, Im not allowed to play any kind of videogames. Who thinks who will win and why? =P |

You'll both cheat when no-one else is home.

Re: An interesting bet
You will try to force the other to cheat first, and as a result:
She will become addicted to video games; you will become fat with a chocolate addiction. I think she wins. |

Re: An interesting bet
lol, Im drawing up the contract now. I just need any possible loopholes covered, can anyone think of any I should write down (anything that is(n't) allowed)?
Also, just because of how I am, Id tell her if I played any sort of games, Im not one to cheat on a bet =/. Her however, because of how she has talked about it before, I can almost fully trust her =P lol. I doubt she'll pull anything though |

Re: An interesting bet
Tibs has already spoken the truth.
If you are in the house on your own you could play computers for an hour and then never mention it. She gets it even easier, sneaking a bar of chocolate is simple, just ask all the obese people who are on "diets". |

One of you will most certainly give into temptation.

Yeah, one of us will give in to temptation.
I don't really see this lasting past Thanksgiving to be honest, I see her giving in. All my friends see me making it somewhat easily. Right now Im using the Stephen King Dark Tower series to keep me entertained =P Should be interesting come Thanksgiving and Christmas (Christmas more for me, Im getting Xbox360 and Halo2, likely a new graphics card and StarWars Battlefront >.>) |

Re: An interesting bet
I saw this on ****ing Nickelodeon.
Exact same premise as a Drake and Josh episode. And by that I mean a ridiculous unfunny premise that I only watched because TV guide lied and said AMC was showing the Last Samurai and it was showing some lame ass romantic comedy intead.

Re: An interesting bet
Nickelodeon is going to beat your ass down.
Also why would you get a 360 but with halo2? Gears of war is comin out dude. AND i agree with reaper because it is very easy to scarf down a chocolate bar while no one's looking. |

Re: An interesting bet
Well, if I get anything out of this bet, I'll at least get out of it the fact that I've restored the faith of someone about couples today.
Lol, I had a dream of playing Smash Bros Melee last night. Even though I knew it was a dream, when I woke up, I felt like telling her that I had given in to play a game. (This happened around 430am when my mom woke me up to tell me she was leaving to go somewhere for the day) |

You apparently haven't read this thread, just saw it was by me, and made an assumption.
This is not about a problem, I'm merely seeing what the posters think about who will win this bet. So, in a few words : gtfo >.> |

Re: An interesting bet
Meh, I give up
If y'all think Im having some sort of problem, I can't change that, because people here tend to be hardheaded. It apparently doesn't matter what the truth is. Im calling the bet off tonight. I realized that with all the free time Im gonna have with just Thanksgiving coming up (back to back 4/5 day weekends I believe), reading will only get me so far. At least the element of trust is still there, I guess that's the only good >.> |
