Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
I really want some hardcore badges, but I get the feeling that Greg is not one for appealing to the whims of the masochists. I want something so hard that it takes me a month of figuring crap out.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
a month for you = never for most people and years for the rest. you AREN'T normal.
bandit... widgets, as in the custom FFR games for bands that i've made 100 or so of over the past year+. not true so much any more, but for a while i was doing 10-20 a week. also.... fun new flash game i found... robokill, from rocksolidarcade.com... there is a 1 level preview on armorgames.com, and 1 mission (4 levels) freeware on rocksolid... full game is 10 bucks. which is hella gay. but *shrugs*. i had a lot of fun playing the 4 levels. it's not that difficult, but it's a decent room-clearing shooter / RPG-esque game. edit: and rubix... lol. what framerate is that vid on? it's only showing every 3 iterations of evolution in the game. kinda beat.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Come on, I know you'd probably want such a badge too. Don't you want a real challenge?
Robokill's pretty tight, haha, nice find. EDIT: Yeah I noticed the framerate was sucky (I prob have it set to some lower-manual value) but I was too lazy to fix it. Last edited by MrRubix; 11-10-2008 at 03:41 AM.. |

the word 'crap' is always the only word that is shown as an advertisement word in green letters and two underscores.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
People are going to be whiny bitches and keep this thing from getting an Imp Badge. We need some harder Imp Badges, damnit. I hope Greg takes the hardcore route, for once

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
If they make another imp badge for some gay tower defence, I'm gonna kill myself.
I'm sick and tired of doing badge runs for TD games. I SUCK AT TD GAMES, I don't like TD games, I wish they never got badges. I wanted pDecathlon to get badges, but no.. it wasn't TD!

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Word from the inside --> Today's challenge will be 99 Blocks, with some very interesting requirements. He's gonna figure Zilch out later.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Crazy requirements like not letting blocks fall off :P There's a stat for using all 99 blocks. It's going to be an insane one.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Easy: Height of 250
Medium: Use 33 blocks Hard: Height of 600 Impossible: Use 99 blocks (meaning you can never press C/never let anything fall off your tower) Last edited by MrRubix; 11-10-2008 at 06:19 PM.. |

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
ok, sweet. But like i said earlier, i am still new to the game. So does use 33 blocks mean you have to have 33/99 still standing when the game ends?

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
i managed to get down to 20 before anything fell off... had 2 pieces fall off from bad luck, then got down to 8 before the entire tower collapsed. getting all 99 is going to be rough.
you figure each piece is 4 "sections", so if you use yotta's trick to get a wider base, you still need to get up to 400 across all 10 rows for using all 99 pieces, and you can't ignore any of them. which becomes really rough, because you can't build vertical at all, you have to constantly be building horizontally to make sure the entire thing stays stable. man. going to be tricky to say the least.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Yeah, I gave it a shot as well. Lost one at 36, lmao. Horizontal placement is the key, def.
