Re: Songs of the Week (May 10th, 2014)
Sorry middie, but Sleep felt...content-free. The problem with v2s is that I feel like they need to offer something new with regards to the song. While this isn't technically a v2, the cut plays almost exactly like alloyus's, so it plays that way for all practical purposes. I mean this is a common problem with v2s that are easier than their predecessors, so yeah. The stepping itself was on point though.
Everything else this week was hilarious, but top points to bmah for maximum bmah

Sleep Part 2: Dont remember the first one too much, but if I recall it was pretty much just a dumpy feeling js chart. I like js, but with this part sounding basically the same as the first part, this feels more relevant to the actual song rather than going for difficulty. Chart was decent, even though it is a part 2, kinda saw it as [light] of the first part.
NEW ANACHRONISM -I can't become the hero anymore-: Song was interesting, definitely took a complete turn in that last little bit. Chart for the first half was stepped pretty boring, only part worth playing was that last little difficulty spike. Gourmet Na Aitsu: Not a fan of YMCK songs since they all sound the same and produce pretty much the same chart every time. Song this time was pretty cool, chart wise it was your typical YMCK stuff, trilly, etc. Wasnt bad, but nothing that stood out for me. rough: Probably my favorite for this week. I liked the whole 4/8th note approach for the whole song, those kind of charts are always fun to play. |

Re: Songs of the Week (May 10th, 2014)
Played the bmah file as a break from studying
saw the NPS chart and was expecting some extreme bmah my expectations were exceeded just when I think bmah can't possibly bmah any harder, he out-bmahs everyone again. truly a top tier bmah bmah/10 EDIT- I'll make it clear I actually really liked it. Short enough that it is replayable, which is a must for this kind of file. Reminds me of dr1, Casino fire, or Pandora. files with filler intros and they turn out to be JUST about the difficulty spike. I try not to make too much of this file becuase I'm so obsessed with difficulty curve, whereas it seems to be sort of bmah's specialty. Really fun when the song lets a file stepped this way come out properly. EDIT 2- also played Gourmet Na Aitsu because why not Pretty standard fare for YMCK. Doesn't take away from the fact it's extremely cleanly stepped. Fun patterns, extremely precise layering, just really technically well done. Bonus points for getting the most trolly part out of the way right at the beginning so that it's restartable. Since the solo patterns flowed so well those parts were not nearly as bad as the trill. Nothing wrong with stepping the classic stepmania artists if you do it so well, I mean they're overstepped for a reason- lots of potential for incredibly fun files. On another note this is probably my favorite YMCK song I've come across. Hadn't heard it before!

Sleep, Part 2
Really fun chart. I enjoyed this a lot, I'm fine with saying you know how to step dubstep. NEW ANACHRONISM -I can't become the hero N/A not vet lol Gourmet Na Aitsu I wish I could play 70s. Like the song but I suck at this game. I have no complaints. rough Cool song n file, i'll play it again when I learn to play this game. I love da piano filez. Favorite is sleep imo. That is all.

Re: Songs of the Week (May 10th, 2014)
Beware the Purple Water, Boss Machine (Sonic 2), Three Ring Nightfall are all Sonic songs. (I'm sure I missed at least one as well.)
As for Star Wars there's one in Star Wars Anthology. So you're pretty much wrong. ^ More accurate. Also, what does it matter Sleep is an MLP song? It's not uncommon now days, and even then it could attract new players. So what's the issue here? |

Re: Songs of the Week (May 10th, 2014)
wtf is Sleep part 2
why not just step Lethargic Slumber instead of adding a restep to the game |
