I've never been a fan of EXP Share, broken or not. I like to do things the hard way.

because you forgot to switch your level 3 hm slave out of your party before going into a 2 star restaurant

You wouldn't.

It's insanely broken.

I mean, I *really* like it, because it removes annoying grinding. You can still grind, but you don't need to grind individual pokemon really which is extremely convenient.

The only real drawback is that your team is significantly stronger than it would be otherwise because of the net gain, and the trainers/gym leaders should be significantly harder IMO to compensate.

However, they really aren't, which sucks. I mean, the average level of the gym leaders thus far has been higher than in the past (though I'm only just past gym 3). They're already using level 30+ pokemon, which is a respectable challenge.

However, they still only use 3 pokemon or so which is the real killer. Given how easy it is now to create a very well balanced and strong 6 man team, the gym leaders should probably be using more pokemon.

Is this game worth getting or not? I was hoping this would be pokemon silver badassery. Does it live up to pokemon silver standard?

Hell yes it does, this game is so fluid and amazing and great and omgomgomgomg

the ONLY bad thing I can find are the periodic fps drops during battles, and MAAAAAYBE the save bug in the main city (which can be circumvented by saving outside the city)


so, I got a weedle with a decent nature, thought I'd test out EV training and... goddamn this is awesome. I've never EV trained before, it's crazy how much more powerful an EV trained pokemon is lmao

you can max out the EVs of a full party, turn exp share on, and LEVEL ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME

1. EXP Share OP.
2. Mega Pokemon make this game waaaaaaaaaaaay to easy. Thus I beat through the 7th gym without any. I stashed that Lucario. In fact I may send it out on wonder trade. I hate fighting types.
3. Meowstic is fuckin' awesome. That move pool and pretty good base stats make the female one a terror. (Fake Out, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball.)
4. Soundtrack is pretty disappoint. Like even Diantha's is not the usual top 3 track it normally is.
5. Fuck Froakie. Fennekin <3333333333333333333333333333

Also my first mega evolution: Gengar. Fuck Lucario and Kanto starters. I just wanna get my Absol / Gardevoir <3

When I grab charmander it will strictly be pokedex only. He still sucks even with dragon typing.

I'm a bit disappointed. All the gyms and stuff had their own themes last game. Why would that have been so hard to do again? I will say that theme when you're talking to AX after killing team flare off though was a nice nod toward older tracks though.

I also noticed they had a remastered version of Emotion from Black and White. THAT was pretty sweet.

I didn't say it was an utter failure I just said I'm a bit disappointed.

idk I was hoping the Gym Leader Battle theme would build up more and more after every gym. The songs also got kind of repetitive. BW didn't have that problem, and definitely not DPP.

edit: my comment still stands. I must have the first dl of the album once it gets leaked to the internet.

Wonder how somgon will handle the new stuff, especially Mega Evolutions.. Mega Mawile sounds way too OP and Mega Blaziken is overkill.

Also EXP Share was broken in every game, it's just more broken in this one.
