Re: really nooby question
There is a little Q in the top left hand corner of your screen. Try clicking that a few times to turn on low-quality.

Re: really nooby question
Maybe exit some unnecessary programs you have active on the right side of the taskbar.

Re: really nooby question
I agree with the suggestions given here. In my experience, Internet Explorer handles FFR better than Firefox does, so try using it if you're not already. Reducing the graphics quality with the "Q" button can help. Exiting extra programs can help, too. Sometimes my game has gotten messed up because a friend signed in on IM or something like that, causing FFR to hiccup unexpectedly and me to blow my combo. Another thing that might help is clearing your cache. I believe there's a whole thread on this somewhere, maybe the newbie forum, if you don't know how to do it. Rebooting your computer, to let it clear out old stuff, might be worth a try. Other that these, I'm not sure. If you've got an older computer, it may just not have the power needed to run FFR totally smoothly. That was my case a couple years ago. I hope this helps, and good luck.

Re: really nooby question
play the Low Res version. this computer lags up with all Flash files but the Low Res. if that doesn't work, then there probably aren't many other alternates
