This story is goddamn amazing.
Ever wanted to be the Prince of your own country on a several-thousand square foot base with its own currency, flag, and national anthem? Want de facto recognition by several European countries, brought about primarily by being invaded and keeping prisoners of war? My god, that is beautiful.
Though I can imagine it doesn't serve him much purpose...? Sure, he has absolute power... but over what? Freedoms... from what? Taxes? I just can't see any particular situation, unless I was already a high-profile rich man with connections, that I would have absolute need of my own principality. Interesting story, though. Can't type... too... drunk.
