Senior Year for me next year ;_;

At my old school in Ohio, we chose classes for the next year in about March, so the administrators could easily start setting up schedules effectively.

But down here in my school in Brownsville, I have no idea what they do to choose your new classes; I was new this year so of course I went in and had to set up my classes with counselors. My next year schedule should be something like this:

-English 4 AP
-Calculus AP
-AP Biology/Chemistry/SRD (Scientific Research & Development - basically year long science projects)
-Government/Economics AP/Dual Enrollment (Although I've done goverment so far this year, and currently in economics, it's good to take them again incase for college credits)
-Photography
-BCIS 2 (Some easy computer crap class)
-Psychology

I'm taking classes from Berklee School of Music online.

Right now I'm in Critical Listening 2 and one of the DMP classes. I've been taking a series of music production stuff.

Next year is going to be pretty slack for me. I took a bunch of courses in high school up to grade 11 so that grade 12 would be easier for me (especially with diplomas). Next year, all I have to do is English 4 AP, Social Studies 4 AP, Biology 4 IB (IB is the hardest level that you can do something, harder than AP), Chemistry 4 IB, some university Calculus course (I forgot the level it's at; here, it's called 31 IB but other places, it would be named differently), and perhaps Physics 4 if I feel like it. My grade 11 year has been pretty stressful, with English 3 AP, French 41c IB, Social Studies 3 AP, Biology 3 IB, Chemistry 3 IB, Physics 3 IB, Math 3 IB, and Math 4 IB.

You know, for being perceived as a dumbass, you've got a pretty heavy course-load.

Course selection probably won't be until July, but a few of us were just discussing this last week, so I have somewhat of an idea of a few coures I want to take:

BIOL4000 8.0 Honour's Thesis (year-long lab project with a big paper and defense at the end).
BIOL4510 3.0 Cellular and Molecular Basis of Muscle Physiology
BIOL4220 4.0 Histology
BIOL4285 3.0 Human Molecular Genetics
BIOL3140 4.0 Advanced Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Laboratory
KINE4020 3.0 Human Nutrition
PSYC1010 6.0 Introduction to Psychology (better late than never I guess)
PHIL2075 3.0 Introduction to Applied Ethics

Exceeds a full course load by 4 credits, so it might change.

More like, wow a lot of IB kids.

xD

My senior year is going to be stressful as hell apparently and we start scheduling next week. I'm meeting with my counselor this week to discuss summer school options and everything because I'm really going to need a study hall next year.

What I have so far is...

United States Government (Online Course, Summer School)
Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry
Physics
AP English 12
CFA Visual Art IV - Independent Study
AP Art History
Computer Art III - Independent Study
Study Hall

I just learned the other day that it doesn't matter outside the state of Virginia if I have a standard or advanced diploma and I was like "wow, I should have just done the standard one" but I figured that was pretty damn stupid of me to say after working my ass off for the past three years almost just to have someone tell me that. xD I would have just aimed for the standard actually because I don't plan on going to school here, but whatever. I'm not going to let my hard work go to waste so... advanced diploma is the only option.

I'm still trying to see what courses are available and which ones I want to take, but so far, this is what I'm currently leaning towards:

Grade 12

AP English IV (might take regular during summer so I can take more math or English if available).
AP Precalc
AP Physics (dammit I could have taken it this year)
Another AP History class if any others are available

I've got all my elective credits filled, so my goal is to take as many AP classes as I can, being that my school schedule for the past 2 years has been pretty screwed up and I want to graduate college early. My goal is no less than 2 AP classes, but I'm leaning for taking at least 3, maybe even up to 5 (depending on work load - my current AP class gives very little homework).

1. Englishh III honors
2. Algebra II
3. US History (H) (would have taken AP but world history teacher wouldn't allow any of his kids to take)

4. Physics I
5. AP Pyschology
6. Sociology (only standard >:\)
7. Life Management

Since the bad Economy, my school now has 7 classes...which equals = More homework, Less class time. Already lost over 20 teachers last year so eh.

We have 7 classes too. Is that really a bad thing? We do block scheduling so it's plenty of time for each class. Mondays we have all 7 classes which last about 40 minutes each (60 minutes for 5th block) and then we have 4 classes Tues-Fri that last 90 minutes plus an "extended study" period which lasts about 40 minutes.

Surprisingly enough... my schools (yes, I go to two) have not been affected by the economy. All the teachers are really cool I guess and maybe our county is just blessed to have a great school system.

Oh, and I just noticed you live in Florida. Well, that makes sense. Florida has a TERRIBLE public school system pretty much anywhere in the state. Yeah, I used to live there. My brothers were both failed when they were in elementary when we lived there and ever since we came to Virginia in 2003, they've gotten the help they needed and have really improved. Teachers in Florida, hell, the entire school system just didn't give a damn about helping them or other kids. Which explains why this one girl I knew was in 2nd grade when she was supposed to be in 5th...

You're going to have homework out the ASS in physics/precalculus. I know, because I took AP Physics AB and AP Calculus BC junior year. I think I still have some of my homework notebooks from those classes lying around, actually.
