Rogue bonuses:

Rupture ticks give a chance to lower next move energy cost by 40: ROFL WHAT
5% crit bonus to Mutilate: ROFL YES

I hope to god they don't change them, that's the first 2pc Rogue bonus I've seen that I've been happy about.

Too bad it'll probably be one proc per minute. ;___;

T7 energy bonus per minute: 18 (4pc)
T8 energy bonus per minute: 20 (2pc)
T9 energy bonus per minute: 40?

Seems like that would be hard to manage... what if it procced just as you were using a 10 energy move or something? Or would that not be a problem?

Well I'm betting it'll have an animation, which would make it a lot less of a headache.

If it doesn't though, it will be a bit annoying. Mutilate's the only ability I'd get the full 40 energy saved out of, and if it procs before I use Envenom or Rupture, I tend to get 25 energy from talents that puts me near the top of my energy bar. I tend to energy pool a lot, so if the cost becomes free, a lot of it will get dumped when the 25 energy from talents procs after.

We'll see though, it'll be a fun mechanic to play with.

Dunno if you can use power auras to show tier procs though. Probably only doable if it has a name.

<3 power auras though. Even though my class has very few procs, it's great for bosses like Hodir and Vezax to know exactly when you get certain buffs / debuffs. Sometimes you stand in a beam / crash for a second and you still don't benefit, so I set it up so it shows me exactly when I have the buff. Also useful for telling me when I'm not getting a buff, such as Toasty Fire.

Also, some people tested our new Relic on the PTR (dunno how they got it since I still can't get into the PTR to see what it's like... guessing you can buy tier gear / relics on the PTR?) and it apparently has no downtime. If this is the case when it goes live, then it's an amazing Relic. A constant 200 haste? Hot hot hot hot hot.

Hi ikzoct

1) Probably the biggest resentment I have toward you for repeatedly reporting the fact that you have the highest DPS in your guild is that you're supposed to. Rogues are designed solely for that purpose in PvE. If you weren't the top of the charts, I'd be concerned. There's a huge difference when you, a pure DPS class that is supposed to be #1 on the charts assuming everyone has BiS gear, top the charts, versus me, a hybrid DPS class that is supposed to be the bottom of the charts assuming everyone has BiS gear, topping the charts. I'm still using a damn i213 weapon, even =/

2) Your moonkin's UI absolutely sucks. Get rid of that damn parchment backdrop on Omen. You can't see a damn thing with that backdrop. Re-color Recount while you're at it--red goes with NOTHING. Remove the party frames from your base UI, move the chat box, and for GOD'S SAKES CHANGE YOUR DAMN SCROLLING COMBAT BUFFS.

<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>
<Unleashed Rage fades>
<Unleashed Rage>

If you could just pass that along for me, that'd be great.

3) You guys really aren't as good as you let on, you know. Getting hit with the crashes that often is kinda sad. And why even bother DPSing when there isn't a crash down? Most of the time the guy doesn't bother, but I saw him do it once or twice. Maybe moonkin have some kind of manaless proc. I dunno. But in any event, the ranged DPS should be ahead of you and it's kinda sad that they're not. It proves to me that their gear sucks. I can easily pull 7,000 dps on regular mode. That entire fight is tailored for caster DPS. It actually doesn't benefit me as much as it benefits a moonkin as all of my casts dip below the GCD whereas he can still get right on the edge. You melee guys are slowed down, even though for you it's just a tank and spank. But casters get 2x haste and 2x damage. That's like twice as good as Thaddius's buff, even though you don't have to move as much with his.

But all in all, that's a damn good quality video compared to most of 'em.

/senseless criticism.

Most tier procs that aren't passive are named buffs =)

Today was an awesome day.

My ten-man group got to Vezax for the first time, but wiped a few times and called it.

The guild's 25-man 2-shotted Hodir and Freya, then 3-shotted Iron Council. The two wipes were due to the tank being one-shotted for one reason or another.

Better than that though, I finally broke 10k dps on Hodir, and got first in overall damage and dps for the fight: http://wowwebstats.com/ypgrsi6cwsjmu?s=106986-160475

And as luck would have it, I got my t8.5 chest too, giving me my 2pc 8.5 bonus and my 2pc 7.5 bonus. Now I'm only one more week's worth of raids away from getting my 8.5 helm as well.

One of the most annoying thing about the Moonkin's UI is the fact you can't actually see the character very well. Aside from the <Unleashed Rage><Unleashed Rage fades>, he has the Quartz buff/debuff counter right over his character.

What software did you use to record that video, Grandi? I'd like to try something similar for my guild's kills, but all the software I've tried, when combined with WoW, takes up too much processing power for the video to come out smoothly. I can't get any remotely-decent frame rates.

(I'm on a Core 2 Duo E6600, GeForce 7600GT, 4GB RAM system, so you'd think I'd be able to handle this)

I used Fraps, and I went from about 50 fps during hodir (with all graphics maxed) to about 16-20 fps (all maxxed)

(Nvidia Gforce9800GTS with 1gb DDR3 ram, Centrino 2 duo, 4gb DDR3 ram system)

Basically I just muscle through it.

Well, Fraps is the one well-known video recording software I've never tried, so I'll look into that one and see if I can get it to work. Tomorrow is a for-fun Naxx raid that I can test it out on. Thanks.

edit: Okay question about Fraps. For longer fights, how do you get around the .avi file size limit? Or does Fraps handle that automatically?

I found my Fraps cracked on a torrent. Otherwise you have to pay $. and it has a few neat options for maximizing your fps in game such as not recording sound, setting a fps level for it to record at, and recording at half-size.

I don't know if other programs do that since I really haven't tried any.

I'm more impressed that you out DPS'd Twitchie than that you topped DPS in general. Good show. At least you're thriving in the new guild.

Really wish we could get a solid Uld25 run going so I could compare my DPS on Hodir 25, though I doubt it'll be anywhere near that good.

Way to go. That's stellar DPS.

Twitchie and I are usually right next to each other in dps, usually with him in front.

In other news, people have decided not to call me "Sage" or "Sag" like I figured, instead opting to call me "Sega." I'm not complaining, since that's a pretty awesome nickname.

edit: Test boss fight video from Naxx today. Quality and framerate seem to be alright, but I'll have to see how things go on a fight like Hodir or Freya before I can judge if I can reliably record. The sheer amount of stuff going on in those fights will make for a pretty difficult test of my computer's recording ability.

I only run 30-40 fps sadly on most fights, because my motherboard isn't a 2.0 pci-ex 16 slot.

I have a 9800 GTX, quad core and 2.33 (I should OC it to like 2.8 or something, I can do that with air) 4 gigs of RAM.

I don't lag even if I hit 15-20 fps, which is nice, though.

I'm gonna get FRAPS and try it out, I figure it might be a neat way to review tac. It'll mostly involve me pulling aggro on accident and dying and then everyone wiping >_>
