What Defines You As A "Furry"?

While I was lifting in gym, some semi-retarded-special kid told me he was a furry. I was like, WTH you like having sex with animals? Then he told me that's just a sterotype about furries. He "claims" in reality they just like to draw animals. So I asked him, you like to draw chipmunks with giant dicks? And then he grabbed his umbrella, and pretended it was a "soul excalibur" (as he called it).

In all seriousness, what classifies someone as a furry?

Edit: Damn, it's been less than a zeptosecond and there's people viewing this.

We (me and poleaxe) make fun of our friend since he said he's a furry and we said:"So you like animal porn, you sicko!" but he said he likes doesn't like that, he likes transformations or something like that... it's odd. He's a pretty cool guy but I guess he just likes that odd stuff :/

btw we always make fun of each other, for example according to our friends, poleaxe likes vorephilia and i like necrophilia xD

One of my closest friends recently self-defined herself as a furry (even though everyone knew it, with her wearing that raccoon hat EVERYWHERE), but she's not a psycho bestiality addict or anything.
Most people just don't have the tolerance to be around furries.
