Hows am i supposed to play this next year? Is it possible to download it on mac or am i just stupid. probably both.

Unfortunately the downloadable game currently does not support MacOS. Luckily, you could get the downloadable game for Windows running on a Mac by using Wine. The website contains instructions to get the game working.
