Re: Vinyls
Cassette looks pretty cool... But what appeals me in vinyls is the biggass artwork

Re: Vinyls
My point is this. The time and money you spend on ripping vinyls are considerably more important than what CD offers. Plus, considering the process of transfer, there's no point of doing it if you don't already own an important collection with some rare to find records you'd like to read digitally.
I should have added "that can actually be transferred to digital over vinyls without trouble". By the way, I've had a friend that agreed to sell me a full analog set for a nickel but he kept it in the end. I'm still bitter about it for good reasons. |

Re: Vinyls
Last vinyl I bought was duality from flylo. The sleeve was scuffed up with pressure marks when I received it which kind of pissed me off. Looked like it had been stacked flat for weeks.

Re: Vinyls
the allure of vinyl for audiophiles is the unmatched warmth of sound that vinyl can give you. I haven't been able to compare vinyl vs cd quality digital sound on a high end system, but I'm open to the idea.
That said there is something very convenient of one hard drive storing all your music at lossless quality and having that connected to a high-end system

Re: Vinyls
Just dropping in to say that averaging the worth of vinyls as 10 dollar per vinyl is pretty silly. Unless he was collecting coveted records (e.g. daft punk vinyls, common as fuck but still a decent price) or rare and obscure records that have a fanbase that's willing to pay obscene amounts (e.g. boards of canada original vinyls or something like that), common second-hand vinyls are usually worth like 2 to 3 bucks lol. Maybe even less since the sleeves all look pretty beat up.

Re: Vinyls
I now have a functional vinyl player. I have about six vinyls right now, so I'm happily playing them! So much joy. :3
