This. Even though it's hilarious, it's actually a very intelligent move on their part haha.

The halftime show is so much better than last years! The effects were actually not bad. Not too fond of the performers though...

The game overall is not as exciting, but what can you expect between the Giants and the Patriots haha. Congrats to the Giants nonetheless! Would've won something if I placed bets on a team haha.

I have to say, that game went exactly as I wanted it to. Pats ahead most of the game, having a decent game, giants getting ahead at the last moment and brady failing to get the clutch victory.

Not that I watched it all, not sure if the Pats were ahead most of the game. But they were when I was watching.

It would have been quite a savvy play had Bradshaw actually gone down at the 1. I still don't fully understand what happened... looked like he just toppled over into the end zone. Thankfully we got the more exciting finish instead, but it could have been game over on that play.

anyway HELL YEAH GIANTS WIN WOOOOOOOOO YEAHHHHHHH

Intelligent how? It would have been intelligent if he went down on the 1.

Bradshaw put his hand down to signify a down on the 1 yard line, but the refs didn't stop the play so the momentum he had from running made him topple. Had the play been called dead when he put his hand down (which it usually does in situations like this), the Giants would have run the clock then kicked a field goal to secure the win.

Ehh not sure if I buy that. Players are allowed to put a hand on the ground without being whistled down. I think you're right about Bradshaw's momentum forcing him into the end zone, but had he been fully prepared for the situation he would have gone completely down in one way or another. This is how it's done:

It's got to be really tough to make such an unintuitive play at full speed in the Super Bowl. I'll at least give Bradshaw credit for trying.

There was an interview with Bradshaw post game describing this situation. He said he had gotten the order to go down directly before the play and it didn't quite kick in until the 1 yard line came. The intent was actually for him to go down so time could be killed, but like I said with the momentum driving him forward he couldn't execute it properly.

There was also the possibility that Belichick wanted the Giants to score as quickly as possible. I personally believe that because he would want as much time as possible for Brady to send the ball upfield. The Patriot player (i don't remember who) who stood over Bradshaw right after, I believe, actually intended to push Bradsaw in, to ensure the maximum amount of time.

Oh, absolutely. Goal #1 for the Pats at that point was to get the football back in Brady's hands. Thing is, if Bradshaw had gotten one knee on the ground (the way MJD did in that video I posted), he would've been down by contact even if someone pushed him forward.

What an intriguing play, huh?

why do people give a shit about some half time entertainment, and why do they even bother? I've never understood this. Maybe it's because I never followed American Football (although I did stay up a couple years back until, like, 3.30am, to watch it just to see what all the fuss is about)

This should have been on TV instead of the actual Super Bowl:
