One day, you say goodbye.
And so dies the last decent-working DDR Extreme in my area. Basically, a pleasant DDR EX playing experience is gone for me now. Oh well. Guess I'll have to continue playing ITG2, and wait for SuperNOVA. But, I've got a question. Does anybody have a decent DDR Extreme in their area anymore? Most machines have to be at least a few years old, and unless pads, sensors, and other hardware are properly maintained (and they often aren't), the machine has a likelihood of failing somewhere, whether it be a simple sensor or the CD Drive. Anybody have better luck than me?

There's 2 at my old middle school. Not sure how they're holding up though. One at my bowling alley, it's still fantastic, L and D arrows on 2P side not dependable. Should I feel lucky?

One of the machines in my area still has welly maintained pads, but unfortunately the owner was pretty clueless. He basically always wanted to get the newest upgrade kits since he knew DDR helped the movie arcade make alot of money, and then he got jipped by some bastard selling Megamix.
So despite the ugly blue background, that's the best DDREX(sorta) that we have.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
There's one at an arcade near me. The problems with it are you can't play Versus or Double since of the Start buttons doesn't work, and sometimes the Right arrow gets a little screwy.

There was a decent Extreme in the London Trocadero, but everything moved around when they got SuperNOVA and I have no idea where the Extreme is now. Dosen't matter though, since SuperNOVA has every song from it.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
Yeah, I've got about 2 or 3 well-working machines in my area. Plus my home version of Max, Max2, Extreme, and Extreme2 are all in GREAT condition.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
Our DDR Extreme machine sucked. The pads broke each week.
Then it got shipped to Vegas.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
All the machines in my area are either gone or extremely messed up. The ones that are still in good condition are at jacked up prices ($1.50 for 3 songs I think it is now). Haven't played DDR in almost 2 years though so it doesn't matter for me much anyways.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
Well, although I'm not kidding, the machine is a 7th Mix with pads that miss almost every other step. That's why it's so cheap; it's unplayable.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
There's at least one decent DDREX machine in my area. It's been the best machine in Kansas City for a long time.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.

Re: One day, you say goodbye.
The speed on EX Plus can be changed, only before you start your game, though. It was a really bad modification by an outside company. Ew.
The "104 Error" machine was finally fixed. The pads work decently on the left side, but misses do tend to come up incorrectly here and there. So, it's not perfect, but hey, it's still the best we've got =/
