First time RAing
My conclusion: It's impossible =(.
It's pretty hard for me to even get double digit marvs on anything, but it seems to improve my MA a tiny bit: I have no idea what good RA looks like so I don't know if these are good or not. At least the MA is pretty good IMO. |

Rofl reach you idiot I told you he can't get that Otaku RA (40ish) or 3 on over the rave (well it would convert to around 10 but still)...
Nice MA but RA needs alot of work :S

Re: First time RAing
Yeah Nima's right, there's no way I could match any of his scores in any way, be it RA/MA/PA/combo or whatever, I don't get why anyone would think I could do something like that otaku. Guys, I suck.
The main problem about RAing is that it doesn't have its own coloured flash, which makes it almost impossible to adjust my timing in the middle of a stream. And Nuclear I took the gfx you posted in your thread. |

Re: First time RAing
Laggy your MA is still godly, you can't feel bad for not being able to have as good RA as nima/anobody/duk when you're not used to it.

Re: First time RAing
try this instead... see how you do not knowing whether or not youre getting ridics
also i notice theres a red blip on it... its a small small indicator for me to let me know if i get ridics or not but you cant tell its there if you arent looking edit: hmm theres a line of dots i thought i got rid of those... oh well double edit: if you want me to make it completely clear i will

Re: First time RAing
You should make the beginning M on the marvelous for the ridiculous timing a different color. Maybe so the indication isnt so small.

Re: First time RAing
yeah seriously MA is godly as **** laggy
try taking ridic off and playing j7, see if you do better that way. personally i dont since i hate seeing so many goddamn perfs, it messes me up, but it might if you need the different flash. |

Re: First time RAing
I thought about that too, but since j7 halves the timing windows and the ridiculous window is one fourth of marv's, it wouldn't work.

Re: First time RAing
ive figured out why zag, cause i can RA jumps like nothing too
my right hand is dominant. i can hit all 8ths with my right hand or whatever and itll be really onbeat. my left hand isnt as great. so the way stepmania is set up, it registers a jump timing as the latest step of it. in other words, if my left hand goes early, which it tends to do, but my right stays onbeat, itll stay onbeat, cause my right is the "latest" hit of the jump. sometimes my left goes late a bit which means itll register as a late marv. so thats why jumps are easier to RA. i think it balances out though cause theyre only worth one ridic anyway. |

Re: First time RAing
Ah, I see. I guess that makes sense, especially since my right hand is completely different from my left when it comes to staying onbeat (when it comes to speed, as well).

I have no idea how hard these songs are because I have no access to SM, but I'm still very impressed by the AAAA on Another Planet.
