Re: So I wanted to build a gaming laptop...
I would suggest going for EVGA Card and Board. (Personal preference)
Upgrade the PSU to a Corsair 850AX. Processor is good. Would seriously suggest the WD Black 1TB and the 2 or 3TB WD Green. Drop the OS. |

Antec HCG-620M 620W ATX12V Modular SINGLE-RAIL 48A 80PLUS Bronze 135mm Fan Active PFC Power Supply
^No. Gold rated. EDIT: Also, I agree with Zag on both counts. The EVGA SC 670's are sexy; I have the 2GB model myself.

Re: So I wanted to build a gaming laptop...
Get an EVGA, they're one of the best cards. They run a little hot, but it'll be fine.
Seriously get some more hd space. |

Re: So I wanted to build a gaming laptop...
Okay, so dropped the OS
Changed the PSU to Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 CMPSU-850AX 850W ATX Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold Power Supply And changed to 1TB Black HD (How is my Video Card? Is it a decent one?) EDIT: The only EVGA they have is EVGA GeForce 8400GS 589MHZ 1GB 600MHZ DDR3 PCI-E VGA DVI HDMI Video Card (01G-P3-1302-LR) (sku: 56470) Should I just get a few of those?

Don't buy anything yet though. Save this, and do research on all of the parts. Read reviews, check for any compatability issues, etc... Additionally, when you have finalized your parts check each part on pricebat for a better price, and then pricematch it to your purchase. |
