Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
I got a little worse (still able to FC FGOs and such), but idc until MP comes back and I can use it as an excuse.

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
Yeah, massive skill drop on my end for sure. However, a lot of that had to due with my computer frying and having no access to SM for a while, as well as college - I'm at 18 credit hours and transitioning to my upper level courses next semester to UCF.
Of course, I'll hopefully be able to get back into my old groove with FFR and SM, provided I don't be completely dominated by Halo: Reach (reeeealy fun and addicting game). I'm hoping to stage a big comeback seeing as how I hit my peak in July of last year and I've dropped precipitously in skill since then.

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
Haha I feel sorry for everyone who lost their skills. I guess I'm weird because I started playing FFR seriously AFTER the site went down. I went from playing rank 5-6 songs to being able to FC 10-11 ones
For some reason though I still can't AAA a damn thing but hopefully it comes with time. Although the beta engine seems like it screws me over with 1-2 goods all the time that I swear were perfects hmmmm |

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
FFR is in a sense, riding a bike. once you get to a certain level of rythmic gaming you dont really get "bad" im pretty sure no one on FFR who could easily FC very challenging songs droped all the way back down to easy. im sure alot of them also played stepmania though too.
i play alot of guitar hero and a little DDR whenever i was at the bowling ally so i was kinda able to jump right back into the game. of course however you do lose chops if you dont play stepmania. i never played stepmania partially cause im to brain dead to work the damn thing, but that doesnt matter, so i never really kept my finger strength up to the proficiant level it was at. my finger chops are deffinatly slower and it will be a while till im at where i was especially sinse im switching to spread now kinda.

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
my computer can't seem to handle the game without it lagging like a $%**&^%$$#%, so i have no idea if I've gotten any worse or better :/
guess we'll find out once I figure out how to get this game's performance up.

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
Yeah, my skill dropped somewhat. Before the game went down the most difficult songs I could AAA were level 8's, now I'm up to 7's, with difficulty though. It's so good to be back!

Why would I downgrade for a single application?

Re: skill drop while FFR was down?
I could FC 9's and 10's before and I can't even FC a 4 right now.
Just as stavielostpass said, I also can read EVERYTHING fine (Up to 12) but my fingers are so damn clumsy. I either hit the key on the side and it doesn't go down or I tap it too early out of nervousness. I changed laptops as well and these keys I have aren't so good with FFR as my old keyboard. I'll just have to get used to it. I also can't use my old key settings (ASEF, don't ask) anymore. I suck with it.
