Driving Manual is such a pain
Im just learning how to drive stick shift and i really need to learn it. I just bought myself a car after saving up a whole year. Its a 1998 ford mustang. And guess what? It's a manual transmission car. Which are so much fun to drive but such a pain to drive. Uggh. I hate it and love it.

Re: Driving Manual is such a pain
Hell yah. Auto sucks. You just sit there and turn the wheel. Manual is more interactive. And my mustang would not even sound good as and auto. Im just mad that i didnt grasp how to drive manual right away. I wanted to be flawless right away damnit. LOL

Re: Driving Manual is such a pain
Oooooh, sounds like a sweet deal. I like the newer models better though. Like the 1999-2004 are my favorites. They look so sexy. The only thing different with mine being a 98 is really the tailights are a little different and the headlights are more rounded than a 1999-2004. But i luv it

Yea I know mustangs lol. I like some of the newer body styles as well. But I can not stand the fox bodies. I wouldn't take one if it was given to me lol. I used to drive my dad's around he had an 01. It was pretty nice but I love the classics. And I just noticed you're from PA too. Hi5

Re: Driving Manual is such a pain
The only hard part really is having to shift going up hill. I used to roll back a lot. I almost thought I was going to hit the car behind me. I'm so used to driving stick that I went start my mom's car and put my foot on the break thinking it was the clutch, and my foot on the accelerator thinking it was the break. lol

Re: Driving Manual is such a pain
You'll get used to the "uh oh I'm gonna hit the care behind me" feeling. I used to get that feeling all the time, but with practice releasing your foot from the clutch and applying your other foot to the accelerator will become second nature.
I also used to hate driving manual, but after a while you will start to love it. |

Re: Driving Manual is such a pain
You bought a manual transmission car before knowing how to drive stick.
Yes, this seems like a good idea.
