Re: Is anyone going to go see the movie Avatar?
Just got back from the theater. Probably one of the best movies i have ever seen and i'm comparing this to star wars even which i love. Honestly i thought this was better not just because it was made more recently but just because of everything about it. The story is absolutely amazing. It's very deep with a lot of satire. It will make you feel and i swear i almost felt like crying at some parts. The CGI is not done justice whatsoever by the previews. It looks 10x's better on the screen. I have to say this movie may not be for everyone but if you think you would be interested go see it. 10/10 easy.

Re: Is anyone going to go see the movie Avatar?
I went to see this in IMAX with friends.
I honestly didn't want to see "Dances with Smurfs", but because it was supposed to be graphics heavy, and we were gonna see it in IMAX, I obliged. I came into the theater with very low expectations, and came out pleasantly surprised. The movie was enjoyable; many times, I forgot I was watching CG, the 3D was used to help immerse you into the movie as opposed to a gimmick, and the story wasn't played off as bad as I thought it would have been. This is one of those movies you have to see in theaters for the experience (in a Transformers kind of way, but not as Shia LaBoof-ie or Megan Fox-ie). Overall I'd recommend it.

Saw it last night and was surprised at how good it was. It kinda reminded of a futuristic Pocahontas though. Even if you have low expectations I highly recommend seeing the movie. "I" had low expectations.

I watched it in 3D after work the other night. Likelikelikelikelikelike. Not my typical type of movie to see but still absolutely amazing, and yes, I did cry.

Re: Is anyone going to go see the movie Avatar?
I watched it on Friday in 3D.
It's pretty good. I thought the plot was a little cliche and fairly predictable. It wasn't terrible though, and I still enjoyed it for the most part. So many movie comparisons can be drawn... seriously. What amazed me the most was the CG. If you're going to watch it, go for the visuals. Their attention to detail is pretty amzin.

I cried multiple times, at least 4 times. Oh my god that movie was so god damn awesome. I was so depressed walking out of it though because our world is so money orientated and oh god I have life now T_T

Sci-Fi isn't my type of movie, but I might go see it anyways to check out the amazing visuals I've been hearing so much about.

Re: Is anyone going to go see the movie Avatar?
On the Movie:
The movie was absolutely stunning. I'm a strong believer in good looking environments in games/movies and this just blows anything I've ever seen out of the water. Lord of the Ring, and Transformers can kiss their tied first place position goodbye. AVATAR is just simply the best. Not only were the visuals stunning but the story line was also amazing. Simply imagine that it's completely original and none of the plot has ever been used before, and think about it. Yeah it's good. (I mean come on, FurnGully was an awesome movie when we were little eh?) There was a perfect amount of stupid cheesy, serious, laughable, and sad moments to make the story line flow perfectly. The actor for Neytiri, Zoe Saldana, did an excellent job at acting out all of her parts be them when when she was happy, annoyed, hissing, or upset. The main character, Jake Sully, also did a wonderful job of acting all of his emotional moments. (There were a few) Putting all of that aside, if you swear allegiance to the flag every morning and your life goal is to join the military you aren't necessarily going to enjoy the government/military slandering. The movie very blatantly hates the military, and pumps it into the ground with negativity. (I'm not complaining, I hate the military. Some people however found it offensive) On the plus side, the movie is very positive about Native rites, land rites, and the environment. You really have to watch the movie to understand, but I have a feeling that any Native people from any countries are going to thoroughly enjoy this movie.

Seeing this movie tomorrow while shrooming. Apparently it's the best movie ever made for psychedelics. I'm excited.

Dont take the shrooms goff. Im almost 100 percent it would be a bad trip during that movie. Just fair warning, but you should go just because its going to be best in theaters. I want to go in Imax 3d

@Zageron: I think they were resembling humanity rather than just the military. The top guy is a CEO, not even in the military at all.

Re: Is anyone going to go see the movie Avatar?
I don't see how people can take the military aspect of this offensive. The only part about the military was showing that they follow orders. If the truth is offensive then they should find something else to care about.
