Internet Explorer Bug *Seriously, read this if you use IE*
So, i saw on Attack of the Show last week that IE had a bug. A "Hack your system and steal all your passwords and give you viruses" Bug. Now at the time, i was all like "That's more BS than an Arch0wl Hard mix oni AAA!"; but, uhhh.... well.
About 2 minutes ago, i was using IE. Suddenly, i get all theses reports from McAfee about blocked trojans. I was cool with that; happens sometimes. Then it says i'm not protected anymore....okay, lets fix that. Fixed. Then FFR starts popping up those "These are Ads that pop up more Ads that make you click on X 4 times to get out and go through some ****" windows. Seriously, start using firefox. |

Ads =/= viruses. While it's very possible that your experience was related to the IE bug, I highly doubt it was.

because it "looks" nice straight out of the package probably, plus Microsoft has added IE7 to the automatic update list so you're bound to get it.

Actually the issue has not been resolved. It's always a smart idea to just NOT use IE period. Who knows what other security problems it has....

I only use IE for one site, then I use FF for everything else, so I'm just a bit worried.
p.s.: I think we already have a thread addressing this.

Internet Explorer also doesn't handle multiple tabs as well as firefox, page load, and Error pages.
I use firefox, too, because you can click an empty space onto the web-page, press the "/" button, and quick find something. While Internet Explorer requires you to press "Ctrl+F" and type it in, then click "find". I find that impractical. |

Also, yeah, sorry if there was already a thread about this, i was just paranoid and it was 2am. Nothing makes a geek more insecure than knowing his computer is being destroyed from the inside . |

If the morons who made Vista made IE why would you ever use it? I'm glad i made the switch from IE, I've used Safari, FF and IE and i must say for the one i hated the most FF sure gets the job done.

Well a FireFox is Bigger! Better! Faster! Stronger! Than a blue I. That and FireFox runs more efficently than IE does. Thus less errors on pages and a smoother FFR.

The safety of a browser is not always determined by the browser itself, but the user behind it. IE with it's security zones can surpass Firefox easily in safety, not to mention Firefox requires additional addons like NoScript to increase safety.
