forum/profile linking bug?
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...&postcount=164
by clicking on plusle's username and going to the ffr profile, it links to an invalid username. it links to the username Plusle+Minun, when the url should have a Plusle%2BMinun. |

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
If you click on his avatar it redirects you to profile search instead of his own profile ?_?

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
if you type in a non-existent profile link, it would redirect you to the search, yes.
so in this example, it links you to http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/.../Plusle+Minun/ when it should be http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...lusle%2BMinun/ |

Oh, I had no idea this was a bug. I just figured forum profiles went the way of Metrivia.

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
Speaking of profile linking bugs, is the gender on your profile supposed to link you to an "Error 404" page?

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
Welcome to the FFR forums. Please be sure to make your posts relevant to the topic at hand - I've removed your posts due to lack of relevance to this particular topic. Read all of the forum stickies so that you know what is expected of you as a user.
Has this been resolved yet? There are a few special characters that don't register properly and cause a link to the profile to not work. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...lemonman96%86/ - when checking his levelranks, it wouldn't take you to the proper page. This was something Tass had to deal with when blacklisting him. Would this be considered as related, since it's forum and profile linked? EDIT: Just noticed the previous dates on this thread. Has this problem been resolved? Last edited by TC_Halogen; 08-20-2011 at 03:44 PM.. |

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
It does not appear to be fixed. If you go to the linked post in the OP, the link for the user's profile does not go to the FFR profile.

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
Alright - I suppose it's necessary to keep this open.
Part of me is wondering if this should be moved to the R1 Bugs/Suggestions forum, since it is technically a bug, albeit forum related. |

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
I went ahead and moved it but left a permanent redirect. Now it's in both places (:

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
Just in case the mods haven't seen this yet, it shows this thread twice on the front page.

Re: forum/profile linking bug?
This is a pretty simple fix, use the php function urlencode() on any URL you build, and urldecode() on any URL you want to pull variables from. You might also need to do a UTF-8 URL encode/decode, a few example functions are available on the pages I linked.
