Someone else had mentioned making a chart for it, due to bad memory I didn't wanna toss out the wrong name, I've done that before and am not going to make that mistake again consciously.

All of those are legit things that are "wrong" with the file from what I can see without opening it in editor. There's no "mindless" thing I brought up there. The colors don't emphasize anything that was in need of the emphasis they give it. The rolls look like they have more notes than needed. Again it is something I can't confirm, but is an actual issue I or someone else can voice.

Bear in mind, "wrong" "mindless" and "critique" are subjective terms and are used extremely loosely.

You need to stop skimming my posts and actually bother reading into them just slightly. I feel as if that post voices actual issues with it than could more or less be confirmed by opening it if I could. I'd happily apologize if I was wrong obviously. I'm using the available resources to offer the comments I can, while adding in my opinion it needs a V2, and adding I'd like to not have to unlock it via playing the original. Sure it's a little blunt but that's just how I am.

I don't see anything wrong with that post in the slightest. It's what I would consider the fairest commentary I can offer without opening it in editor. Stop overreacting to me stating my opinion with vague reasoning that I cannot help because I don't have it in the editor. It's commentary, not a critique. I cannot back up what I say unless the chart is given to me to look at. Which I cannot ask for with the site's rules. If it was offered, I'd be more than happy to look at it closer and check what I said as best I could.

Nah, I disagree. When the song starts speeding up, there's a bunch of curve ball jumps that somewhat break the flow of the roll that goes on throughout the entire file.

And if you break rhythm, well... your PA is going to take a very heavy hitting considering how fast it gets, recovering might nab you a whole bunch of goods, averages, misses, and boos. Dohoho.

also i agree that dr1 should be slightly lower, but 69 is just lol. but then i remembered bballa said stuff like 300 should be higher than a 70 and figured he might be trolling. anyhow maybe a 71/72 IMO.

also asdfsong is fun but not worthy of oni unlock imo, 64 fits better. and spitfires file should be higher than 62 maybe 64 as well

I've made a chart for it a while ago, Necros has made a file for it, iirc a people on the FFR Party skype has mentioned making a file for it. But none of them have done it except Ji. If you really have an issue with this file, then make a new one.

Yeah, "wrong," "mindless," and "critique," are all subjective but that's not the issue here. The issue is that every time a file is released that you don't like, you present your opinion in an objective tone and then say "subjectivemanias," as a cop-out or something ps italics.

I read into your FFR/Stepmania posts all the time because I enjoy the game and other people's opinions but fuck, you're literally a FFR meme right now, no one is going to take you seriously unless you change your tone.

If you don't like this file on a playthrough, why would you need to see it in the editor? I highly doubt that watching the file through the editor will change your opinion about it.

No one would give you an FFR chart for your critique because, quite frankly, you have next to no merit when it comes to creating simfiles.

For the songs I could play, the difficulties do seem pretty skewed. asdfmovie seems much too easy for a 66, while Your One's evil part doesn't seem to be reflected in its 62. Very fun songs though.

I've addressed this many times before.

Songs are released on a timer (in most cases, a 7-day timer). Because I assume the previous game manager released the songs LATER than when I released mine's (probably was released on Saturday night or even possibly Sunday), that timer has yet to expire. I make a generalization in each SOTW thread, but to be specific, it's 7 days from the previous time songs were released from last week.

We try to release songs on a consistent basis, but the exact timing may waver within a day or a day and a half, typically within the weekend.

Ok Ok, I was trolling a little, but not much.

dr1 reminds me of Perfect Cherry Storm, except without the super awkward sections and no giant jack. I still think it is 70 at most, but I could settle for 71.

As far as 300, I wasn't trolling about that Totally should be 73 or so.

@ Alex: the solo isn't overstepped at all -- if you were to take the finished collaborative chart, or both separated charts, the solo would look pretty much the same in terms of density/rhythm, and when it comes to something that is reliant on detailing of proper rhythms, you best believe I won't let a single misrhythm slide. Every note in the guitar solo is accounted for appropriately; nothing more, nothing less.

It's not always necessary to step something technically accurate if it breaks flow a lot. Technical accuracy does not always mean fun. Not saying it's not a fun file, but the flow is broken by that roll since the rest is pretty simple.

edit: Might be a bit weird coming from me since "Your One" has a dumb roll too but I didn't think it would come out this hard on FFR. It's way easier on stepmania but w/e, if I knew of this I'd just have removed the 32nds.

Well it's a guitar solo, so it's not like there were other parts to step instead, nor would half-stepping the intensity of the guitar solo would suffice either; that'd play just as terribly in terms of underrepresenting the song. Trust me - I was looking for the best way to step that part without a rigid mindset.
