Question for any speed 1 screencutters
where do you focus your eyes when you play. For my ability I should be able to get alot more aaa's but i mess up on really stupid parts. I can see all the arrows coming perfectly but I never aaa. what i do is follow the arrows as they go up but is there a better way?

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
Try focusing on the stationary arrows. I usually focus on the middle of the stationary down arrow, but I look at the other ones too sometimes. You should be focused on everything on the screen, but keep your eyes pointed at the stationary arrows the whole time.
Edit: Just tried looking below the arrow receptors, and got a ton more goods. Looking in the center of the arrow receptors, I can line up the arrows visually a lot better.

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
I don't play anymore, but I still consider myself a 1x screen-cutter, so...
I focus right below the arrow receptors. That's where I suggest, but I'm sure other people focus on other parts of the screen. :P Edit: Looking at your BB Evo video on your profile, I'd say that you're probably ready to screencut a little more. That might be why you're getting more goods than you should be. I usually have all the combo covered, so yeah.

i have no idea where i look, actually.... i'd say i look below the receptors and just anticipate them going up into the perfect window.

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
You either have trouble following the arrows OR hitting them in a regular manner. By looking at your stats, you're far from being bad , but if you think you could be better, then try "phasing out", try not to focus on anything in particular. Of course I'll always suggest practicing 2-3 wks on 1.75X but I'm sure you tried that already.
As for arrow hitting, try lowering your fingers down from the same position, so that you hit each arrow at the same speed. Kind of a vague comment, but I'm sure you understand what I mean. |

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
On 1x screencut you should really be focusing on the whole screen the whole time. Then you can look up a little if you start falling behind.

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
I'm speed 1.25x screencut. Do I count?
If you want to know, I focus somewhere around the middle, so as well as being able to register the arrow into my brain when it reaches the center, I am able to press the arrow by the time it reaches the stationary* arrows. I cut screen so that the credit count is hidden, but the words "Your credit count" or something along the lines, are shown. It helps. *Correct me if I'm wrong: Stationary, Stationery???

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
I used to screen cut. When I did, I kind of "scanned" the screen. It's weird but idk how to really explain it other than that I moved up and down on the screen and then I focused on the middle of the screen for longer than everywhere else.

Re: Question for any speed 1 screencutters
I tend to look above the arrow receptors, then just anticipate the perfect timing window for each arrow with my jedi mind powers. But hey, whatever works for you.

I try to zone out and just kinda take it in as a whole. Then i think about anything thats not FFR. Maybe unicorns. Maybe clowns. Just not FFR. The more you concentrate, the more you mess up.
