There's a lot of new chart artists I've never heard of before who show really great potential and/or already doing amazingly well. For me, the rising stars are (in no particular order) Arntonach
You do know that Arntonach was formerly Prof. Raine, right?

On another note, this pack is very fun so far. However, I've been randomly encountering haard songs after hard songs lol.

Just played some of the files in there, they're fantastic. I really liked Lightning Strikes Again/Metal Squad.

also Robotomy is not the same difficulty as Vivid in Heart lmfao.

moar reviouws

(Torrent) GHOSTS - HEAVY: Less fun than ONI, but I suppose beginners will find this useful. Still kinda generic, though.
ONI: This chart is why I accepted this file. Even as someone whose biggest pet peeve is annoying freezes, this is really fun. The freeze vocal sections flow amazingly well, the streams are plenty of fun, and on the whole it’s a great bit of fun to try and MA. There was one pattern in the stream that led to a one-handed 16th trill for like one measure but the file’s so dense I hardly noticed.

(moches vs Valor) Guitar Hero - Our file.

EASY/MEDIUM: My charts.
HEAVY: Good job with this. Straightforward but quite enjoyable.

(Ferrari) Gun Rock v2 - HARD: Suitably intense file with great usage of freezes, jacks, and hands. The 32nds felt randomly patterned at times, but they still flowed well.

(mi40) Hajnal2 - HEAVY: Song itself is a bit oddly paced but steps are basically perfect down to the last note. Bursts are subtly challenging without being ridiculous/impossible, pattern choice is flowy where it needs to be and tricky where it needs to be, color notes/freezes all very well-utilized.

(AlexDest) Hand Throw - HARD: Very fun. Maybe a few freezes could have been shortened.

(eastsideman09 vs rog) Happy Screaming Night Businessman - HEAVY: Brutal file, but very well-made. The jumpjacks flow very well, the 32nd bursts are appropriately patterned to the song, and on the whole this file feels quite cohesive. Only complaint is that some of the grace 64ths feel a little excessive.

(Roar) Hayate - HEAVY: Really simple and really fun. Reminds me of what Malice would have done with this song, and that’s a big compliment. File doesn’t really end with the bang I wanted it to, but minor quibble at best.

(blind vs moches) I Knew You Were Trouble - BEGINNER: Beginner file.
HEAVY: Good chart. Freezes could be tweaked a little (some are too long, and the minifreezes going to the harmonies in the build-up to the chorus look reaaallly weird), and maybe the layering’s a touch inconsistent at times, but it captures the song’s rhythms quite well (I actually like the verse sections of this file better than the verse sections in mine).
ONI: My file.

(rog) I Say Drink That Shit - BEGINNER: Not reviewing this. Far too hard. Those of you who can handle this stuff can enjoy.
HEAVY: Very fast-paced, but it's a fair file (aka no stupid shit). I waver from Aing/AAing this file each time I play it, which raises the stakes a little for me. Good stuff.

(Puppet) id - HEAVY: I enjoy this much more than dondon’s file, aside from like a few tiny things. Impeccable patterns and steps, as always.

(AlexDest) INFINITE PRAYER - HEAVY: With the mines, it’s an atmospheric dodgeball file with a killer (literally—why is this so hard?) climax. Without, it’s a simple but enjoyable throwback to the heyday of DDR. Win-win!
But seriously, this could use an easier chart…

(Valor) Judgement Day - HEAVY: This file is basically a Bemani megamix, lol. I know the song’s not from Bemani, but it feels like it should be from beatmania or something. Anyway, this is pretty much as solid as it can be. Even though notes following freezes are my pet peeve, your usage of them is so consistent that it feels less like sloppy patterning and more like an intentional motif. Song itself is pretty repetitive, but you do a decent job of switching things up and the file is interesting throughout as a result. Not my favorite, but for what it is, it’s good and I see it resonating with its audience.

(Patashu) Judgment Day - HEAVY: The BPM gimmick makes this tons of fun visually and very hard to score on. Technically very well-made, but I feel that the freezes are a bit too heavy in sections where the mood is a bit more jovial. Really cool use of mines.

(moches) Juicy - My file.

(YTY) Koi no Bakkin Bakkingamu! - HEAVY: Good file. A bit simplistic, but high-energy steps and solid patterns. The freezes near the end to the guitar could have been toned down and a few jacks were quirky.

(moches) Lataia - My file.

(mi40) Lawn Wake III - HEAVY: Not as big a fan of this as I am of Amber Shores, but it's still an almost perfect scoring file with tons of little pockets that will mess you up and make you want to play again. I think it's just the song clouding my judgment. For what it is, it’s just about spot-on.

(Gundam-Dude) Leia - MEDIUM: Nicely toned-down.
HEAVY: I had a ton of fun. Some very nice surprises buried in here, like that section with the mines topping off the consecutive 8th jumps going to those super-strong guitar chords. Song's dope, too: a lot more gentle than your usual YOOYOYOOPEE fare.

(Gameoson) Lewd Violence - First of all, props for having five (!!) charts.
ONI: Very fun. Great x-mod tricks: just challenging enough to throw the player off a bit but giving the player a lot of rope to get right back into the song even if they screw up. (That's such a hard balance to get in x-mod files and I'm impressed at how well you managed it here.) If there's one nitpick, it's that some of the mine placements (especially in that fast 8th handstream) are clever but far too uncomfortable to hit at a song this speed. Pattern usage was very good all-around.

(Kommisar) Lightning Strikes Again/Metal Squad - HEAVY: Even though this is a marathon file, it’s fast-paced and enjoyable. Great guitar solos and solid patterns all-around.

(moches) Little Drummer Punk Droid - My file.

(Rumia) lmbo - HEAVY: Appealing song, and very well-expressed as always with Kil files. Nothing much to say. Some of the bursts might be a little wonky?

(Scylaax) Log On - MEDIUM: This shitload of minijacks in the middle is stupidly intense. Very fun, though: for some reason, the freezes in this don’t bother me much, while the freezes in the Heavy chart really grind my gears. Maybe it’s because the file is less dense, and they just look a lot cleaner.
HEAVY: The shitload of minijacks in the middle is stupidly intense. Otherwise, quite fun throughout. Freeze usage was effective in some parts, sloppy in others. Mine usage, on the other hand, was very good, particularly when you ratcheted up the tension near the end.

(Puppet) Loli fishing next 20000 leagues - HEAVY: I actually enjoy this more than Oni, hahaa. Simple but basically spot-on.
ONI: Expressive as all get-out and very enjoyable.

(iRanch) Lost Love - HEAVY: I love this file, though the jumpstream’s a tad excessive—I would have preferred to see some more subtle usage of 16ths in the main chorus. Dubstep section had me going whoa and the 8th sections have impeccable pattern usage. Maybe the part JUST before the last stream with the long freezes could have been a bit more, I dunno, fluid.

and just like that I'm halfway through the pack. more reviews to come.
