Re: ITT: Nostalgia
Just now my mom found a T-shirt I bought in commemoration of an event back in my high school days.
The year: 2002. I was in high school at the time, attending the State Quiz Bowl Championships (or, as one of my teammates once put it, "team Jeopardy"). After having an argument with the judge about the other team stalling in order to win, and losing said argument, we found ourselves eliminated. The first reaction we had? Buy the T-shirt. So some of us did. At least, I know I did, along with taking a gander at other Michigan State-themed products. I imagine it was a somber ride home for the rest of the team; for some reason, I always seemed to end up riding alone with our coach. But I had been there, done that, AND bought the T-shirt. All in all, a good two days of sporting competition and team bonding. (Of course, next year we came back with a vengeance and finished one victory short of placing. We did so well on the second day that when we were finally eliminated, they were all sold out. XD) |

Re: ITT: Nostalgia
I remember when FFR had only four songs! And none of them were timed well...because that's when Synth used to write the stepfiles.

Re: ITT: Nostalgia
I was going to mention that I also have my beanie babies stored in the garage but then I realized how utterly embarrassing that is.

Re: ITT: Nostalgia
So you figured you'd make a new post about it to draw more attention to the fact? Oh, okay.

Re: ITT: Nostalgia
That's when Synth had to make the steps by playing the song so every note was off by a different amount.

Don't get too worked up about it Grandi. Their attentions spans are so short now, that something that happened last month can bring about nostalgia.
The worst factor of kids today not knowing what came before: People who refer to classic songs that are in some cases decades old as "being from Rock Band/Guitar Hero" |
