ITG2 Calories counter
the calorie counters on itg always interest me.
how accurate are they? , what if you bracket alot... i set my profile in itg2 folder as 120lb, i weigh 130ish, since i think bracket takes less work than actually stepping it whole. but after 4 hrs of about 60-70 average of expert 11 pad files from r21freaks, random packs it says ..i accumulated a total of 9000+C burn. athletes eat like 3k calories per day, this is like 3day's food intake. i know i worked a lot, pretty much owned myself. but i mean..that's a lot of calories, like power lvl over 9000 D: how much is it bsing me

Re: ITG2 Calories counter
This thread has popped up somewhere before, and we discussed the legitimacy of the calorie counter.
9K is quite obviously BS - you'd have to play for hours on end to burn that many calories (more than four), but it's safe to say that you did get yourself a good workout. I would make a rough estimate that you burn about 500 calories an hour playing ITG, so you do the math. On Friday, I played racquetball for a little over two hours, and I burned 1400 calories. So, 700 calories an hour. I don't feel that ITG is as physically taxing as racquetball, especially with the added movement of the arms that ITG lacks. All of this is just a rough estimate on my part, so don't take what I say with absolute certainty. Last edited by foilman8805; 01-18-2009 at 03:53 AM.. |

Re: ITG2 Calories counter
as a sprinter on track and field, i sweat a hell lot less in practice for 3hrs than itg for an hr. I am almost certain that pad files at 11 expert for an hr for me for me is more tiring than running for an hr, since i cant really bracket hard songs much.
according to some health index, running for an hr none stop=1k Calories, perhaps i should doubt that too xD

i think the opposite because when i play racquetball i need to play for atleast 4 hours ish before i begin to feel tired as apposed to DDR/ITG where after an hour im tired >.>

Re: ITG2 Calories counter
I wear a heart rate monitor when I run and it says that I burn about 100-200 calories for every mile that I run depending on how fast I'm going/how fast my heart is going.
