Split the last hand during a very easy part, and miss was kinda dumb, but holy smokes. Never thought a 78 would be something I'd deem AAA'able, but here we are.

Not always. It depends on the song difficulty and the improvements made in the round. To be safe, do exactly what you just did in Round 2 and submit your best improvement and all your AAA scores

You'll get the maximum reward that way!
