My fat ass is always more impressed by high level pad play because it's something I know I don't have the cardio or leg endurance to do myself. I never passed Butterfly medium when I had DDR games on PS2.
In contrast I can somewhat feasibly see myself doing at least some key play, especially with all of my FFR /SM/Etterna/Rock Band experience |

being able to not only process the complex high-speed patterns seen in bms, but also have the control to play it properly is just baffling to this day. I can at least wrap my head around anything I see in any dance games, but stuff like bms or any high level keyboard / button rhythm game (iidx, sdvx, etterna, osu, etc.) just has my head spinning.

Highest level pad play is the most insaneous to me, firstly you need to be a zillionaire with level 99 farmer carry in order to get so many of the quarters to the arcade (probably with giant buckets). Secondary you must training for all hours of the day in the arcade, I seen some guy with towels and maybe water bottle or something... JUST THAT?! Insaniteous. Finally you need to have MASSIVE thigh gap like chive girl so you don't catch fire from your legs rubbing together fastly! Very danger...
BMS is just tap tap on a controller at home, so boring anyone can do it! |
