I'm generally out of the loop myself. I just noticed that the july/august batch notes were out 0_0

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
The second half was delayed for a while, because I was gone for a week and a half (and I had signed up to judge both sets in the second half). The goal is to get notes out by the new year, but the check-in system didn't work so well this time. I was unable to get away from distractions for a long while, so I still have a lot of work to do these next few days.
We'll be trying out a different system next time, one that eschews signups altogether. Waiting for people to sign up doesn't work when people who signed up early end up being busy when it's finally time to start judging. It'll be a mix of the batch system and "judge when you want" system. Don't forget to get files in before the end of the 31st. The deadline will not be extended this time. A few mistakes in file-sending: _DJ Vinyl_: Your .rar had the text and .mp3 files in it, but they should be inside of a folder (with the same name) inside of the .rar file. This way, when multiple archives are extracted at once, all the stepfiles will be neatly in folders rather than having text and mp3 files strewn about. Also, the track title and artist should be entered into the .sm file. Otherwise, it will think your username is the subtitle, making it appear in SM's play mode. We don't want usernames to be visible to avoid effecting bias before playing the file. klimtkiller: The name of your .zip and folder should be "Track Title (Step Author)". You had "Track Author - Track Title" this time. Also, your username should not be in the subtitle, and extra information, like links to any removed graphics, should be removed from the .sm file; linking errors delay playing. ShadowDueler97: I'm not sure what happened, but you had an .sm and a folder inside of an archive, and inside the folder was another .sm file, but that file was incomplete, and it was the file inside the archive but not inside the folder that was the correct one. Also, don't put your username in the subtitle or credit of the .sm file. icontrolyourworld: Please attach your stepfile to the email rather than sending a link to the file on a file sharing website. It's stated in the rules to avoid it because those links may expire, but that won't really happen before it's downloaded for the batch. However, seeing that a file doesn't have an attachment makes it easy to assume that the sender forgot to attach their file, and the email may be skipped over. You don't need to send the files in again, because the mistakes aren't hard to fix. But do double-check before sending the email. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Mhm, your fixes have been received. I was adding files to the batch list and removing them from the queue list, but I hadn't highlighted the files which had fixes sent in. Wasn't highlighting fixes as they were received, because I didn't know if the fixes were in the hands of everyone who might be doing the uploading. Still haven't done any file uploading myself, 'cause it's all been events so far. Sorry if there was confusion because of that.
Of course, now I see that was kind of silly. Adding the dates helps the other GMs see exactly where they need to be looking to find the most recent updates if they don't have them. I'll keep up with dating fixes. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: OPEN]
Is there a list of judges or simfile artists that are open to reviewing files/collaborating?
I THINK I've polished off the one I got feedback from judges from, but experience would help since I'm used to pad stepping. |
