Re: FFR is back?
I was going crazy trying to get on the site - just about everyone over on the Dragons_Fury site was on while I was stuck with the "What's My Name?" image and no forums. It most definitely is a nostalgic moment.
Random question: are avatar uploads not working for anyone else? Just wondering. |

The Impossible Has Happened
I can't believe FFR is back. Seriously.
I have to say, despite all of the angry rants and the raging and complaining and criticizing and bitching I do, I am genuinely happy to see this website come back. After all, this is the birthplace of my interest in rhythm gaming. Now I don't mean to advertise, but I'm going to advertise. While FFR had been down, me and bLast have been working on a different engine, over at KeyBeat Online (http://www.keybeatonline.com/). We have been running for a while now, working on some major stuff before going into public beta. It's very similar to FFR, with multiplayer options and all, but we have some extended options, including certain mods, custom charts, and a 6key version. The only real major difference between this and FFR is style. Hopefully, KBO and FFR will reach the same goals, but through different methods. I am not trying to steal FFR's audience (or am I? hehe), but I share this in hopes that not only will our site get more traffic, but that FFR and KBO can collaborate and help each other in the spread of our universal love for rhythm games. I will now be actively helping out and participating in both communities. Welcome back everyone, and good luck to the future of both sites!

Re: The Impossible Has Happened
I truly hope that your intentions are as you say.
As for KBO, those of you who are against it - the community is nowhere near as bad as people say (just watch out for Stargroup and you'll be good ), the game is slowly adding easier files to cater to lower level players in both 4-key and 6-key, and has been accepting submissions for quite some time. If you need something new to play, KBO is definitely a good option. |

Re: FFR is back?
So I randomly decided to find out if there was a copy of the engine I could save to my comp so that I can play FFR without internet, and now I find out it's back up. Holy wow FFR is back up.

OMG
OMG I can't believe it is back.
The only way I knew was that I got an e-mail saying that a forum I posted in had been replied to, and I came straight on to find everything is being set up again! That is amazing news! So happy to hear it *almost crying I'm so happy ) Ah, but brilliant, honestly. Can't wait for you guys to get the online set up again, as that was one epic time if I remember it correctly. Missed it actually, quite a bit. Peace out, Kage06 |
