Re: FFR Memories
Okay I think I'll just browse through my old forum posts. All were great memories.
Second VC AAA, first 6/6 tier points: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/....php?p=2134035 This thread is an introduction to amateur Japanese music artists. (It's also linked in my sig.) In this thread, Shiki appears, but never seems to have come back to the site after that one time. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...68#post2140268 Rubik's Omnipwn tournament, where I won 100k credits. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=93036 Oh my god, 4th official FFR tournament. Maybe the only one I ever participated in it. I was so mad because I was eliminated one round away from the top 8, making me ineligible for vRofl. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=96620 Damn it...I came in 11th. Hey, gambling credits was fun...kind of. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...80#post2323680 First time I won a subscription. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=98019 Does nobody still play "Guess the Song from the Screenshot"? We should revive it. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=53647 In this tournament, I won an unbelievable 3 month subscription + 155k Credits! http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=103953 Supposedly the greatest pot ever in FFR history, with 4,200,001 credits. This was so fun. I'll revive it whenever I want a task done. =D (Aaaah fire!) http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...95#post3397595 In this thread, I get Oni and Zephon. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=95945 Dammit, why did I never make a thread for my Black Key Etude AAA?

Re: FFR Memories
I never thought you held the grudge after FFR died. But before FFR death I seemed to always be under your magnifying glass. I'm not sure if it was because of that, or just because I was an immature kid back then, but yes, I felt that incident had some influence over your judgment.
But just like my dislike of GG_Guru and several others in the past, people seemed to have matured and memories like this are just lol now. There's no animosity in these memories. Just good times in my book 8]. |

Re: FFR Memories
The thing is, you're hardly the first person to think that I "had it out for them" or was somehow going after them all special like. The reality is just that I actually applied the rules to everybody, so the people who broke the rules, got in shit.

Re: FFR Memories
lmao. this. so many times, this.
and when i finally figured out how to evade VC bans they brought VC down, and then shortly after that the site died and VidChat with it ;_; Quote:
The one incident with Tass where he was an exceptional asshat about my "punishment" I can easily recall was when something went wrong with vROFL and it was available to everyone to play. I made a post letting people know it was playable, and it didn't seem to have been posted, like it was either deleted immediately or my internet had a hiccup and the info wasn't sent. Either way I made another post with the same basic info and stated somewhere in the post I mentioned that the post I had just tried to make didn't seem to have registered. It's not like I was intentionally trying to piss anyone off... yet Tass seemed to deem this the professional way to handle me posting about it twice. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...photos/269992/ Poor Tass. He had to delete a "shitload of scores" so I get banned for it without any warning of what I did wrong. Tass didn't like me in the forums, and you didn't like me in prochat. I used to be a pissed off yaboy in disguise with my leet VPN ban evasion tactics, but I look back at all of that now now and laugh at how stupid it all was. Oh, another one of my more recent FFR memories is the feeling of what it will be like to never have to play another offsync Synth file ever again. That was a pretty sweet feeling having finally AAA'd all of those files. They gave me hell for a couple of years there, but never again unless for nostalgia sakes.

Re: FFR Memories
Oh, and in the the offchance Rubix/Reincarnate decides to post in here: inb4rubix saying 100% FC to AAA Ratio (minus the RATO score which was erased).
Though that was another memory of FFR I have that will have me in awe for quite a while. I still feel like someone from guinness needs to come out and evaluate the merit of some of the rhythm gaming community's abilities. Though, unless you were a rhythm gamer at some point in your life I guess it wouldn't hold that same awe inspiring feeling you have when you see Thaor AAA St Scarhand or something. But still... that's a pretty damn ridiculous feat for anyone and they gave a guinness record to the guy who FC'd Through The Fire and Flames on GH... We underground rhythm gamers deserve just as much attention I feel. |

Re: FFR Memories
I have a lot, but the funniest yet probably worst one to me is the "Mr. Molto Boy" one. Holy crap this thread is just full of nope.avi (this was my very first account on FFR, ffdfadsdasd)
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=57098 I seriously can't stop myself from laughing every time I read through that thread. It's just amazing lmfao

Re: FFR Memories
My favorite FFR memories actually revolved around the time I joined FFR. I had beasted Lawn Wake IV back when Shash was the only other AAA, and the BS calls began to mount. Shortly after that, I earned the first FGO AAA on the site with Caprice and also optimized Chrono Trigger (simultaneously proving that the entire community was wrong about how zeroframers worked).
I liked the skill/forum tokens, and building my way up the levelranks was an interesting process. It was fun to take on files like Silence, Grand Gallop Chromatique, Vertex Beta, BB Evolution, and Sympathizer. Beating Vertex Beta vROFL with DS/quadholding was also a fun memory of mine. But most of my nostalgia comes from the pre-FFR era. I miss the old, old days of DDR/Stepmania back when Bemaniruler, Arch0wl, Reach, and Nima were active. The community was bustling and lots of great files were made. People were still discovering the limits of what could be done in terms of performance. In many ways I feel like there was a strong correlation between the strength of the community and the status of DDR. Things were great up to DDR Extreme. Once Supernova started coming out, the community began to tank and things haven't quite recovered since. Konami's made many wrong moves in response to how to choose their music and how to step their files. All the legal crap didn't help either, esp. with respect to RoXor. ITG was an amazing step forward and it's a shame that things didn't take off harder than they did. To me, the death of DDR and ITG signified the turning point. Re: FFR Memories
I just loved playing FFR back then (still do) I still play FFR to just play FFR
I think these are when I was starting out I believe and I played one-handed. I actually didn't play that much back then These are really the only memories I have from back then ff7 battle and beethoven virus were always my favorite songs and even when I couldn't do them well I enjoyed them anyways

Re: FFR Memories
My favourite part of my time at FFR was when everyone was so taken aback that I was such a good one handed player. It didn't last very long, but it was sure a good feeling. :P
Getting bs calls on stuff you did legitimately feels great, because it means that what you did was so impressive that people wont believe you.

Re: FFR Memories
I actually enjoy the fact that many people still don't know for sure if I was BS or not. Not that I play anymore (literally can't, really) so it doesn't matter, but it's still funny to see so much Obama-birther mentality about the whole thing.
