AAA'ing For FFR
Hey guys. This is dawg. I was just wondering if anyone could explain the arrow combination trill at the end of the song For FFR. Apparently it's rated as a master level song and I've AAA'd it easily up to the trill at the end multiple times....and then i usually end with 40 goods and 7 averages from smashing the trill at the end. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys.

Re: AAA'ing For FFR
When I have trouble with a part, I look it up on the FFR song list and watch the song preview. If I'm not mistaken, it starts out 4,3,1,2, then switches to a roll.
Edit:// Or is it 4,1,3,2? Bah it's too fast for me to tell, i usually just hit 4,3,1,2 and hope for the best until it hits the 4,3,2,1 rolls http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...s.php?level=86 Last edited by TheSaxRunner05; 07-7-2012 at 04:48 PM.. |

Re: AAA'ing For FFR
Yeah, it's mostly rated that high because of the ending. Even some D5/D6 players have trouble with it, so don't worry too much.

and even if you're lucky enough to nail a good chunk of the first pattern, messing up the timing on the transition alone can lead to 20+ goods, haha. Bad memories with this song... |

Re: AAA'ing For FFR
(IIRC) you have to nail the first chunk of the end fairly quickly, then pretty much straight roll the end at a decent pace. But in all honesty, if you can nail the first chunk, and time the first 2 lines in the rolls you should be golden. Consistency is a major key.

Re: AAA'ing For FFR
and sorry for double post but yeah, it's the beginning 4-1-3-2 trill thing. i hate that crap!! my fingers won't work for it. I played standard spread technique and it's just so uncomfortable. when i used to play three fingered (2 fingers left 1 finger right) I would demolish patterns like that, but it's insanely fast and technical. *sigh* I'll give it a go again. thanks for the help guys. maybe i'll get it down to like 10 goods or something haha.
EDIT: TC_halogen, i just read the last part of what you wrote. omg i couldn't agree more. i'm like shit, am i going for GA here? (instead of PA) EDIT EDIT: 14 Billion club hah. Last edited by dawg4321; 07-7-2012 at 10:30 PM.. |
