nobody fiffers anymore.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Yeah, only me, Makilaz, and Manti are ever active anymore. I think a new TWC is in order. For now, the policy should be in full effect unless people radically disagree and start a riot or something.

I've always agreed with this.
Or rather, TWC should exist, but be open to any competent player who has proven their competence or intelligence in at least one game. Most of us here are not retarded, so most of us should be able to voice opinions and vote on things regarding rules and bans and things of that nature.

on that note, i definitely agree with this. some of the games being proposed lately are so complex they hardly resemble TWG anymore. simpler games are superior most of the time

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
I propose a hardline reform to inactivity punishment.
Players who no longer can play the game should be killed rather than replaced. If they find themselves unable to play through the game to finish, they shouldn't have signed up in the first place. Any person who makes a habit of asking for replacements should be banned from signing up for a certain time. Players who fail to vote during the day phase should be killed rather than receive a phantom. If a person finds themselves unable to place a vote during the day period, they clearly are not active enough and shouldn't have even signed up in the first place. Any person who makes a habit of failing to vote should be banned from signing up for a certain time. I'm ****ing sick of every game having players being replaced and I'm ****ing sick of people signing up then not even fulfilling the simple duty of voting. Obviously **** can come up, so maybe all players should be allowed one failure before receiving heavy punishments, but people don't take this **** seriously. They sign up then sub out or fail to vote. No. Don't do that. Don't even sign up if that's what you're going to do. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there who would love to play and would actually meet the simple requirements of activity.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
yeah, seriously.
Most of us want to enjoy the game and we can't because we have to deal with inactive players. Don't undermine the game simply because it's on some website and has little to no effect outside of FFR. We're trying to play a game here - if you're going to play, make time for it. |

Speaking of inactive players, RedHerring hasn't even logged in since he signed up.

how about this:
for the next 5 games after the current one, if humans dont vote they'll be killed themselves, and if wolves dont vote they'll be cardflipped |

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
I completely agree. The ****ty turnout of the games recently is largely due to inactivity. I'd say after three games of being killed for inactivity, you get blacklisted for a while.

I love this idea. Serves them right for not even getting on for 2 minutes just to cast a vote. Douches.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
If this was a private forum, I'd kick out several people who basically don't deserve to play after being inactive multiple times throughout multiple games.
Personally, after this game (and thanks to public outcry) I think we need to issue out some bans to several people. I can come up with at least four people right off the top of my head. Quote:
FlawofHumanity DDRKid X3Mamimi Fiction Myself Pntballa18 Travman301 This core group was after your time, but it actually contained a bunch of high-tier players with good quality rational reasoning skills. Far away and above better then the group we have running now. Most of those players could function self sufficiently, while sadly most of our current database cannot. Don't get me wrong, theres a few players that can reach that echelon with some development, but they're not there yet, nor will they develop further unless the quality of these games improve.

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
Getting a phantom on purpose is bull****, is a mean-ass tactic, and is detrimental to the game.
As I recall, this tactic was sometimes abused in the past to appear human. A wolf would "forget" to vote, because "no wolf in their right mind would make themselves easier to be lynched". I seem to recall LD doing this. Then laughing his head off in postgame for people actually buying this tactic. But that's bull****. People who get phantoms are failures to the spirit game, intentional or not. ps manti, private forum or not, it's already ruled by an appointed senate. They can decide on things like game bans and rules for within the forum and judgments on game violations. Players being banned from signups should work the same way that TGB bans worked. It's not an official forum implementation, but you'd be damned if you'd break the decided upon actions of the ruling class. Moreover, this isn't a PUBLIC forum either. Not just anyone can post in the game threads. We limit who is allowed to post in the game threads, so disallowing certain persons from even playing in the first place is a logical next step of this.

I think the first jTWG i played in was somewhere around when TWG XL or close to that was going on. Iggy, DBP, fojar, stoic, etc were still around when i moved into TWG. All that aside, I agree with what most people are saying in here. My work schedule right now is insane so I dont really have the time to make a full post with everything I have to say, but thats Marine Corps life for you sometimes. Ill try to be a little more thorough when I have the time. |

Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.
I'm applying a 1 game TWG Probationary period to Lumphoboextreme for inactivity in the RPS jTWG.
I understand playing UTR, but from my understanding he joined, took up a necessary role and never participated. In fact his participation was so bad, he ended up being a detriment to his own team. If TWG players want me to recind this for the next game, get 4 votes, and I'll remove the game ban
