Default Why is there song difficulty 0?

Is there a reason why I have a bunch of song difficulty 0? I only see those songs if I filter by Song Flags. They are harder than what level 0 would be so please advise.

Thanks

For the time being, the tournament files have difficulty 0. This was a decision made so there wouldn't be arguments about the exact number during the tournament.

However, there are some songs that have a permanent difficulty rating of 0. These are, essentially, "unranked" songs. They are all songs that can't be given a proper difficulty rating for whatever reason.

Examples: Crowdpleaser/PWND! (these files have one spike that is astronomically harder than the rest of the file, which makes them impossible to rate), The Wises Were Wrong/OMGTWFTOK3N (mod files, the difficulty is extremely variable depending on how skilled you are at reading mods)

TWWW and winning don't have mods anymore and shouldn't be a 0. There's also non tourny songs and previous rounds that are still a 0. I can see how this can get confusing for some players.
Also, CP and pwnd should just both be averaged out. I'd say pwnd should definitely unlock scarhand so maybe an 85? The ending isn't shy of a 90. CP should unlock derby but definitely harder than a 95 lol

Difficulty 0 files aren't actually "Difficulty 0"; like Renegade mostly mentioned we use 0 as a placeholder for three things:

-Files that cannot be rated due to extremely outlying difficulty spikes in them (i.e. The Wises Were Wrong, party 4u "holy nite mix", Crowdpleaser, & PWND!)
-Files released from Official Tournaments
-Files that were recently released but haven't gotten rated yet

After this Official Tournament ends, all the tournament files will be rated within the next few weeks so stay tuned

Thanks for the fast reply. So those songs count in the stats and ranking?

Difficulty 0 songs don't affect your level. Of course, when the songs of the official tournament get assigned their true difficulty, they will start counting towards your level.
