color notes
At what point do you change the bpm and at what point do you just go with a single bpm?
The song im working on keeps swinging(changes the beat from 16ths to 12ths) and also keeps changing the tempo(main beat shifts from 8ths to 4ths), at what point do you decide to constantly change the bpm and at what point do you keep it at a single constant bpm value, It's a piano/guitar song btw kinda jazzy. If my question is a little vague, I can try to explain it more or post my song once it's finished. I did ask a similar question before, but the song is very erratic and the artist himself even said it was ''awkward'' Last edited by M0nkeyz; 10-8-2014 at 08:45 PM.. |

Re: color notes
Would be better if I knew the song you were working on. If it's not fixed BPM you need to nudge every measure.

also the song doesn't sound just by hearing it like the percussion is a red color note, more like yellow color note (the beat is very weird) Last edited by M0nkeyz; 10-8-2014 at 08:52 PM.. |

Re: color notes
For future use, you should learn some proper terminology so people know what you are talking about.
Red - 4th note Blue - 8th note Purple - 12th note Yellow - 16th note Pink - 24th note Orange - 32nd note Light blue - 48th note Green - 64th note White - 192nd What program are you using? You can tell how off your sync is by turning on clap for beats to see if it lines up with your music.
