Unexplainable?
Recently, I've been looking at some old photos that my family and I have had stored on our new and past computers. I had stumbled upon a very odd photo my dad had taken when we were touring a really old house that had a lot of history behind it. This house was said to be haunted, but at that time I didn't believe it was because it didn't feel haunted to me, just old.
At the end of the tour of the house, the tour guides took everyone out of the house for the outside tour. (At this point, no one was in the house) My dad, my brother and I wanted to take some quick snaps of the house before heading back with the group, so we did. And here is the only odd photo I found out of all the shots we took. Of course, this is the raw, untouched image, I'll show you a zoomed in picture and make everything more clear. Left side of the bottom section of the right window, is what I cannot explain. It's obviously not a reflection, no one was inside, and if you think its a reflection of someone outside of the window, its the second floor window, so I don't see how that would be possible. I believe that what is in the window is a ghost. Now I'll show you a zoomed in version of the window to get a better look. (You can't really see the mouth because it looks to be a shadow casting over it.) The ghost we caught is supposedly a woman named "Elizabeth Howard", she lived there during the early eighteen hundreds and that window was where her room was. Now, I know she looks really small in this picture, but people back then were small, they didn't have Fruit Loops and Wonder Bread that's fortified with vitamins and minerals like we do. The window was a bit high too, so it is proportionally correct. I've tried my hardest to debunk this picture and figure out what it is, but I can't, so I truly believe that it is a ghost. Do you guys think I caught a ghost in this picture or do you believe that it is something else? |

Re: Unexplainable?
It would probably be a lot easier to judge if there wasn't all of that red writing all over :P
But if you took that off, I'd gladly give you an opinion |

Re: Unexplainable?
you probably did. I dont think that could of been a reflection or that would of spanned throughout the entire length of the window...

Re: Unexplainable?
I looked at it and it looks really freaky o.o
I'm not looking at it again. But from what I saw, looks like you caught something or just a really weird coincidence where everything was set up like that. |

Re: Unexplainable?
You artard. Thats the reflection of another house in the window, drawn around to make it look like an image of a person. Seriously.
Take away the redlines and descriptions and look at the picture for what it really is. Let me guess this was taken in a big neighbor with lots of houses on the otherside of the street. All that it is is a reflection of a building, take away the outlines. |

Re: Unexplainable?
I realized that. But it seems to me that there are so many different things to it. I find it funny.

Looked really hard, and long. It's hard to tell what that is with the red lines, as people have all ready pointed out.

Re: Unexplainable?
It's either a trenchcoat or a reflection of the curtain.

Re: Unexplainable?
I saved the image to my computer and zoomed in on it. I tried to find an explanation for it but I can't really say for certain. I thought the tree at 1st but if you look at the pane above the tree does not look transparent at all where as what looks like a face is transparent. If it were a trench coat or something inside the house it would not be transparent at all. Either way its quiet an interesting photo.

Re: Unexplainable?
paqrat... i see the reflection of a house but thats not the house, look more to the right of the 'ghost' and you can actually see a house. This is cool though i love seeing things like this and trying to disprove them. where was this house?

I downloaded the picture and loaded it in photoshop. I sharpened the image a bit and then added a dodge effect to the bottom-left corner of the image. It really does look like the reflection of a tree to me, but it is quite unclear no matter what you do. Interesting photo. EDIT: Now that I look at the image that displays both windows...the tree looks much too low to give that kind of reflection. I have no idea what else it can be.
