Did you play this in SM5 or no? If not, the warps are missing and the entire file is offsync.

Oy, pretty sure you missed the warps in .execute because it was either in CMOD or not in SM5. But, thanks for the reviews! I'm excited to see you're playing/reviewing the VGMP4 IamMe, you seeeexxxy beast!!! <3

Looking forward to more.

Big Blag's Lair (Tsuka) - oni - love the swing parts. however, i'm not sure i agree with the minijacks being 16ths. Even if they are musically 16ths, it really takes me out of it because the swing is so blatant, but i also don't actually think they are 16ths. They sound like swing to me. 7.3/10 mostly because of the choice to use 16ths for those minijacks

[b]skipping black rain for now because don't feel like playing marathon file
Yo I didn't get a raiting for BGM 2 lol. The 16ths on Big Blag's lair was a stylistic choice, but your reasoning is absolutely fair I feel Glad you liked it though.

yeah I get it, you'd have to make them not-jacks in order to make 24ths work, so neither way is perfect

I'm not sure if "song choice --" is a good thing or not, I think I should take it to be a bad one

Basically. Yes. Fortunately, Yosh's reviews consists soley of, "Ok." And, I haven't seen him step more than one 100 files like I have, so don't take that into offense lol..

seems like you enjoy lording quantity over quality. how many of those 100 files are offsync? like 85 of them lol

=======

You may have been in the community for a long time, but if you're going to use that as a reason to lord your simfile superiority over others, maybe try and cool your ego a bit before you comment on current stepartists.

tbh i tried not to get frustrated w/ you during stream but comments like
Quote:
Oh just 160 XD But still... Considering...All files have great gfx, are on sync, have steps that make sense...I dare anyone else to beat that. :P

Steps that makes sense = Falls into that category ma'am.

Creativity + PR + Flow + Fun Factor

All dumps are bad
like look dude, i don't mind that you're trying to be condescending by saying calling me "ma'am" but you're also disrespecting the rest of the people who are making files and releasing packs. Yes, you have a right to be proud of a pack that you put a lot of work into. No, you don't need to be a prick about it and claim that you've been around for such a long time and therefore know best, and are able to speak for people reviewing lol

==========

I was reviewing the pack because i was genuinely interested in this pack and wanted to see what was being offered, and there's some good files in there. I'm offering my opinion based off of like 1-2 plays of each song since there's 160 of them. If you're expecting an essay on each file, then you might want to seek professional help. I'm finding a couple that I'm really enjoying, and some that I dislike. Going into stream and being like "haha you don't even understand this file your opinion is wrong" and "i've been in this community for a long time so i know what i'm talking about" and all that is super annoying.
The fact that you're continuing this in thread is also pretty damn aggravating.

======

this is what is currently on my mind

Not sure what you're referring to for the melody being unlayered - I thought the instruments and melodies were fairly obvious in this song (and so it's for the most part straightforward). Any measures you can point out?
The chorus: I don't hear a trilling guitar, but instead I thought the drums stood out pretty easily. Maybe we hear things differently or even have our audio (treble/bass) set up differently.

Thanks for finding the transitions interesting. The song's a steady 140 BPM, so I don't think anyone should have a problem with them.

You're not the first person whom I've said this to, but please try out the heavy version - the entire chart isn't modified to be an entirely easier version, but rather it's an alternative chart that's pretty much the same with the exception of the trills. The heavy chart is for trillphobic players. The patterns are isolated to only two sections of the song, after all.

Yeah it does feel a bit empty, doesn't it? I did feel a bit restricted in arrow placement though, since there were dual holds which only leaves me to two free lanes.

Thanks, I also never really thought the song was all that steppable until I listened to it several times. I grew to really like the song, and it just happened to present some interesting opportunities that I would've never imagined at first.
