Re: Team Pony
Sweetness! More Megamon files? Sounds good to me, I really enjoy the "Rainbow Dash Likes Girls" file, probably my favorite one so far XD
Also (unrelated) but yay for my 100th post lol.

Re: Team Pony
I think it's fun too, but it got rejected by FFR
I might end up fixing it up a bit and sending it to the batch again if I have an extra slot, but that probably won't be for a while. I'm also going to try and step some easier pony songs, any suggestions? Remember, since I'm stepping for FFR we have to have permission, and I don't think we have permission from many pony artists. I'm sure if we ask they'll say yes though :P |

Re: Team Pony
hmmm, yeah getting files through the judges seems pretty tough.
I'd really like to see some PinkiePieSwear songs, I'm sure it wouldn't be very difficult to get permission from him. I mean his youtube channel states as follows: "Permission is granted to everyone to use any of my stuff however you like. All I ask for is credit for the material you use." It probably wouldn't hurt to drop him a line though :P

Re: Team Pony

Re: Team Pony
Awesome, I kinda figured. I remember not too long ago the first file I legitimately stepped was giggle at the ghostly by him, but my file wasn't that great. lol

Re: Team Pony
I wouldn't mind stepping this. I'm making my own pony pack and I need an Applejack song. All that I need is an MP3/Video than I can go ahead. I also need the song artist name too.
When I'm halfway done with my pack I'll post it here but if you want them early check my youtube channel. Look up viewer423.

Re: Team Pony
Okay, I am going to attempt step a quite easy file of this song below, I'll try to keep it around lvl 7.
P.S. thanks Megamon88 for pointing out my error in link, haha I forgot what part to remove and did not check if it worked.

Re: Team Pony
fyi everyone should be free this weekend. Especially me, got a 4-day weekend from school, don't usually see them but by golly, if I get time off that long I will make some use of it.
Wanna get back to stepping some pony songs, but have no idea where I should start. Maybe I should release all the songs I stepped and call it a community pack. meh. Working on Good ol' Days by The Living Tombstone and Neverending Strife by H8_SEED. Last edited by gold stinger; 02-18-2012 at 08:48 PM.. |

Re: Team Pony
Yay for bumping. Just letting ya'll know that I started stepping Sunshine and Celery Stalks by PinkiePieSwear. This will be my 3rd legit file. I'll post a vid of it when I'm done, however it probably won't be done for awhile. I usually spend quite a bit of time on files. XP

Re: Team Pony
I do have one question however. I was wondering if I should keep the three yellow (16th notes I believe) notes in a row, or use the purple one in the middle. here's the video because it's hard to explain, because in my opinion it seems like having the 3 yellows is more on-sync. probably not a huge deal, but I'm still kind of a beginner when it comes to stepping, so I thought I would ask.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDixkocOBio here's the link because I'm not sure if embedding would work since this one's unlisted. the song is at like 0.6 speed because I usually slow songs down when I step them.

Re: Team Pony
The yellow one in my opinion. I expected the pattern to repeat to be honest, so I think the purple one would of ended up tripping me up and would of kind of annoyed me. It's also fairly awkward in my opinion, and the yellow one flows fine anyways so it shouldn't be a big deal if it repeats.
Though I don't really know much about stepping, having never stepped a song in my life. Maybe you should wait on megamon and gold stinger to give you some advice on this.

Re: Team Pony
The 3 yellow notes in a row is the correct method for the song. Between the 2 yellow notes, the song follows the regular 1/8th beat timing. Since the 1/8th beat timing starts on a yellow note, the following note after that would also be a yellow note, and would do that until the next jump, and repeats.
Sometimes I get confused about note placement as well just because either my response is a little behind, or I don't notice until someone else points it out for me. EDIT: could use some help on my own part. Making one of my songs, and the vocals are not in line with the regular notes, almost. What do you guys think? should I swap out the 24th (purple) notes for 16th (yellow) notes during the verse? or are they fine as is? I still want your camera megamon.
