It's likely that xmods that exploit SM 3.9 do not necessarily work with other SM simulators. It seems that most people do not use SM 3.9 anymore hence the confusion. It's too bad, since I worked so hard on the file.

Also, since I'm playing on SM3.9 right now (sorry :<), the "freeze" at the middle killed me even if I'm using Cmod... LOL I don't understand but this was some cool shit. I mean, Stepmania legit froze lmao

Well it later worked for macgravel; he playtested it of course.

The mechanism for the effect at the middle of the file is to have freeze arrows shrink their length and stuff. To have this effect occur means that I am basically teleporting the player from one set of freeze arrows to another in milliseconds in thousands of occasions successively (where each set of freeze arrows have increasingly smaller lengths). The teleportation occurs via a combination of negative bpms and implemented stops. Anyhow, if the SM simulator you use cannot process automatic hits on the freeze arrows by only holding those arrows down, it'll fail you out because it would otherwise expect you to hit hundreds of arrows in succession (jacks) in fractions of a second.
tl;dr whether the trick works or not depends on how the arrows are registered from negative BPM skips

This pack is incredibly fun. Even if you don't do xmods, play these on cmods and they are just as excellent. Small but high quality for sure

Yeah, I can't do xmod because I feel like a retard for not being able to hit patterns I know I can. It's still fun from time to time but it's still more fun to play these files on cmod. It was interesting to see Valley of Shadows more color-notey. The pack has my seal of approval as well.

BREAK OVER (bmah & MacGravel) - Titled as such cause it breaks over every version of stepmaina apparently. Good job on the impossible guys. :v

cherry blossoms explode across the dying horizon (XelNya & MacGravel) - Nice file but holy moly that midsection with the weird "late DDR"-esque freezes was annoying.

Eccentric Ghost Channel as Poltergeist (rparty89 & MacGravel) - That was nice, although the music sample could've been better.

Everyday [Netsky Remix] (blind & MacGravel) - Most of the file was a bit boring, until the end where it pulls a 180 and throws 24th streams at ya. Probably could've fixed the difficulty on that.

Figue Folle (James May & MacGravel) - Ooooh, that was cool. My only gripe is the note after the mine after the speedup section.

Infinite Funk (Kinx & MacGravel) - Nice. Just uh...where's the 4k chart? :P

Las Vegas (Antronach & MacGravel) - Cut's kinda weird, but it's still nice. Thanks for fixing the 256th swing the song had btw. Also is it just me or was the note density a bit lower than I remember?

m1dy Deluxe (Kraezymann & MacGravel) - Those gimmicks were killer. >_>;

Smoke (Detrimentalist & MacGravel) - Kinda on the edge on this one. It plays okay, nothing much, but the gimmicks are either interesting or difficult to time.

Starscream Forever (MacGravel) -That was nice.

Touch Sound (LowKey & MacGravel) - Now THIS is amazing. Excellent level design, fun file, I love it. 8)

Ultimatum (t-rogdor & MacGravel) - Really fun. :thumpsup:

Valley Of Shadows (IcyWorld & MacGravel) - Yeah I don't think I can do this. @_@;

Wildstyle (Tsuka & MacGravel) - That was fun.

Wobble Impact (porkypink & MacGravel) - Ooooh, a fav, if only I could pass it.

Oh MacGravel, please work on your song previews. They're kinda underwhelming. :V
