Tested a few and it looks interesting pattern-wise, thanks for sharing.
You could at least include the songs' subtitles describing each chart in the thread, would probably drive more interest in the pack. Last edited by AutotelicBrown; 10-6-2017 at 06:33 PM.. |

Re: Treatpack 1 [RELEASED!]
Okay so I wanted to go through a review a few new packs and I decided to start with this one. To summarize I like to call this pack fennec fantasy c side projects.
Better now (4/10) - one problem that becomes apparent throughout your charts is the massive amount of downtown in files. This file includes a awfully slow and boring intro followed by some generic dense 32nd js which wasn't fun and consistented of some questionable patterning. Bjornes' op (7/10) - Pretty fun jack chart that features some fun patterning overall I like it. Blank (8/10) - Easily the best chart in the pack. Very solid technical files. One of the few files that is worth playing again. If anything I'd say focus on trying to make more technical files then generic js. People will appreciate it more. Blow out (4/10) - to summarize quickly, the 400 bpm bursts are too long and rude. Basically another case of difficulty spiking that goes too far. Boku no Friend (7/10) - One of your best put together scoring charts that plays and rates pretty well. The 24th patterns are also pretty interesting which helps to give the chart some personality. Claw (1/10) - Boring generic handstream. Too much downtime as well. Overall bad song choice kills the potential for this to ever be fun. One of the worst charts of the pack. Ginga (7/10) - pretty cute little jack file similar to bjornes but with some quadstream which actually plays pretty well. Glorious Crown (3/10) - This file is garbage. Too much split hand jumptrill bullshit. One of the laziest files in the pack. Shitty ending. The 12 section however was well patterned so I'll give you that. goodbounce (7/10) - pretty solid standard scoring chart. some cute patterning on the slower sections and the mini jacks are fun and flow well hammer (1/10) - Suffers from the same exact problem as claw. hardcore loli rave (4/10) - The file would overall okay minus some questionable pattern choices. The main issues is the dense handstream which is a massive difficultly spikes compared to the rest of the file. It has become a really common theme which makes me wonder did you even playtest your own files? he he he (5/10) - This file plays very fun but is very reptitive. Also the main hard section is pretty hard compared to everything else not as bad as a difficulty spike as some other files but still worth mentioning regardless. hehe (5/10) - i mean it is just a quad bait file with a really annoying preview music sample. Overall I can't say much about it other than it is lazy. Holy Shit (6/10) - I mean the file is pretty fun for what it is being generic js with some interesting 24th stuff and color memes. However, there is so much more you can do with this song just listening to all the interesting background sounds. jashin (7/10) - This is one of the better crafted js charts. Overall not much in terms of complaints pretty fun. jingo jungle (8/10) - One of favorite in the pack. Fun jacks and speed sections. Love and Justice (6/10) - The file plays pretty fun but it is pretty much your standard split hand jumptrill meme file. There are also 100 charts for this song too. megolomania (7.5/10) - this is actually probably the most complete scoring file in the pack. Although, i would have patterned some sections differently overall good file schrodingers donger (7.5/10) - This is one of the better files in the pack. Fun js bursty and jack stuff similar to hi19s putins boner Serbian Ottoman War (6/10) - This is a super cute little ma file. Unlike the other quad bait file this actually feels like a file. Sorairo Days (5/10) - Generic js file very bland. Stay by my side - Heavy (1/10) - Very bland mindless chord jacks and jumptrills Easy - (4/10) Def. The better chart of the two but still boring this song doesn't lend itself well to an interesting chart. Sun Valley k2 remix (5/10) - I have never played the popular chart so i can say how it stacks up but for this but this is a fairly bland js chart that has split hand jumptrills that are so meta thanks to the current calc Overall it is fun but nothing that screams being worth coming back to unless i want to play a js version of this song Towards the horizon (6/10) - This had the potential to be a really great chart. My main issue is that the jacks are too dense. It is like dreamless wanderers retarded little brother. Not terrible tho. Viinamaena (6/10) - You have what could be a really fun scoring file ruined by massive difficulty spikes for like no real good reason Highly disagree with the 32nds the 320 bpm streams are just way harder than the rest of the file We can fight (3/10) - How fast can you jumptrill *****aaaaaa. Boring bland generic js. Don't like the patterning at the start either doesnt fit how it sounds. whoahemian rhapsody (6/10) - meme or not i really enjoyed this cute little chart, fun little speed meme Yomi Yori (2/10) - Don't like the patterning or layering. Follows the icyworld school of thought to make something dense as fuck. But without all the charm that comes with an icyworld file. The quadstream and jacks yeah no dont do that.Slow section missed some holds don't like the 32nd burst that replaced the change in sound. 24ths were not fun either just one huge jumptrill ala icyworld. Handstream got too dense in the sections preceding those 24ths. Those super dense jacks near the end also a big no. Overall the files tries to hard to be EPIC HARD. And fails at doing so while not keeping the player from wanting to pull his hair out. You may not want to hear this (4/10) - repetitive, boring way too easy 8th stream section, should be layered more, don't really like the 16th bursts in contrast to the jack stuff, the chart lacks identity it doesn't want to commit to being a full jack chart and that becomes a problem on rates. immortal scream (0/10) - no on those jacks in the intro. Bursts going to nothing? Jumptrills no thanks. Super spikey. This chart is a complete mess. Layering is noticeably awful somehow compared to the rest of the pack which is impressive.

Re: Treatpack 1 [RELEASED!]
I don't know what I expected, not a review at least so thanks for taking the time going through that mess.
I used least effort on either Blow Out or Jingo Jungle which I made in less than 2 hours, Stay By My Side is made according to osu! ranking criteria so it's kind of bland and boring. |
