BG looks fine except the text color doesn't seem to match with the background well and what's with that random animu girl... I don't like that banner |

Not a easy song to make graphics on hehe
But Helios means "Sun" so I tried to make something luminous.

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
You know, people should worry about GFX -after- files get approved. It's a complete waste of time if you make GFX for a file that won't get into the pack. Not that I'm questioning rparty's stepping but he should understand that GFX are secondary and aren't important. Send the file without GFX first and if it gets approved you can get some later.
I'll do a judging round possibly this weekend.

Submitting is going to be tough. No Japanese-related files. I'll try to submit something though.

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
uhh... could there be exceptions where it doesn't sound like the song is made in Japan? Because this is one of my WIPs. I've also got a couple more WIPs like that I could potentially submit.

I'm open to those kind of exceptions. Keep it to a limit though.

Congrats Gunderp, I sent you a 5-charted file. Because I need to learn how to make multi-chart files.

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
Sorry for the late notes.
Phalanx (Keywii) - File's good. Send me the update with freezes+mines+whatever. - Needs easier chart(s). Pending ecoFEAR (Scylaax) Light - Is it necessary to add a gap between this an Heavy? File's not a dump and is just simplified so you don't need to do this. Bumping it to Standard. - Same notes about the 12ths having mini-freezes on M104 & 173 for the Heavy chart. As an easier chart though, you could definitely remove those freezes including more. The visual density is still about the same as the Heavy chart even if you simplified the layering a bit. Yes Heavy - M104+ (Beat412+) do you really need the mini-freezes for the 12ths? They don't really add much of a difference for emphasis whether they're there or not because of the jacks. Adding them in just adds visual density and makes it tough to read. - Same deal at M120 (Beat476+). - M173+ (Beat688), mine placements to layer what you ignored would be good and would fill up the white space. - Layering's passable. Expected more of the bass and percussive hits to be layered in with jumps but what you have is unique approach I suppose. - Good for scoring. Consider removing the mini-freezes in the 12th parts I mentioned if you want to send an update. Yes Session 9 - Chronicles - (Scylaax) Standard - This is a sorry excuse of a 3rd chart and I can tell you got lazy at this point. - This has more hands and holds than the Heavy chart which makes completely no sense. - Simplify, simplify, simplify. No Heavy - Beat243, simplify. As an easier chart you don't need the hidden 4th jumps nor do you need to keep the exact same difficult pattern as the Oni chart. Change the 24ths to staircase rolls of 432143214321 or something close so that it's much easier to hit. - M68 (Beat268) you don't need the quad+minijack. Simplify the quad to a 3-note hand. Consider shifting the note to avoid the mini-jack if possible. - Same note as the Oni chart about the colour coordination. - As an easier chart, shortening the length of the majority of the holds is a good choice. Decreases visual density. Your call though. - With all honesty this could be simplified even further by removing some of the hand placements and possibly some jumps. What you have isn't all that different from the Oni chart. - Could use tweaks for above notes. No Oni - Beat243 is tough to hit with the hidden 4th jumps inbetween all the rolls. - M72+ (Beat284+) I didn't really get the point of the colour coordination there. You don't do it anywhere else in the file and you randomly decide to toss them in this section to emphasize the crashes, which is odd. With all honesty, it's either do it consistently or don't do it at all, your call. Colour coordination doesn't serve a purpose if you don't use it anywhere else in the file. - Layering's passable. Again, I expected a bit more percussive jumps but this is just me. - Good for scoring. Consider above notes if you wanna send an update for this chart. Yes Overall: Fix Standard & Heavy charts and this will be good to go Heavy chart is more important and Standard you don't even need unless you simplify. As of now, No. Vertex (Scylaax) Standard - Holds could use shortening in length to decrease visual density. - Could tone down the jump and hand usages more. - Passable as an easier chart. Yes Heavy - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. Yes Armament Armed Arm (Scylaax) Standard - Holds could use shortening in length to decrease visual density. - Passable as an easier chart. Yes Heavy - Layering transition to M32 (Beat124) is sudden and flow breaking. Can't be helped unless you layer more I suppose. - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. Yes COOLISH WALK (Kommisar) Technically this would've been in Autumn pack but you didn't send the chart. File passes regardless since you have the easier chart now. Yes After Laughter (Niko) Easier charts - All good to go. You know what you're doing. Yes Heavy - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. Yes Reasiness (Niko) Standard - Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy - Entire beginning up until M13(Beat48) is funky with the layering transitions. At the very least, layering the 16th melody that continually repeats would better link all the measures together and will flow better. - The dense 2nd half of the file made it much more interesting and less repetitive. Good call. - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. Consider layering the 16th synth melody consistently for the first 13 measures for much smoother transitions. Yes DOODAH! (DDRBaller123) - Absolutely not. Also you have a million edit difficulties that are all different. No Winter V2 (DDRBaller123) - You sent me this file before for I believe Xoon 5. It's not any different and you still have a million edit charts. No Ecclesia (Reshiram) Easier charts - All good to go. You know what you're doing. Yes Oni - A little bit too over the top with layering but not too bad to playthrough. - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. Yes Visions Of Coming Apocalypse (Charlo) Standard - Index/pad friendly. Acceptable as an easier chart I suppose. Heavy - Decent as an old school-esque file but you definitely need to layer more thoroughly if this is to pass off as a keyboard chart. Chart's quite ambiguous to say the least because a lot of the patterns are index-friendly but then at times you have really awkward jump placements that are meant to be done on keyboard. - Thorough layering of percussive jumps and some jumps to layer guitar rifts are what this chart needs. It would make layering much more easier to follow and would make the file flow better overall. - With all honesty though, I'd save this for some other pack, lol. No Pop (Kommisar vs Rogdor) - Absolutely ****ing yes. - Make an easier chart if you guys want to. I've bitched at you both for months and to no avail neither of you want to do it so I'm just going to accept it the way it is jeez I hope you're happy Yes Turning Japanese (Kommisar) - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. - Needs a sync overhaul. Get someone with DDReam and time to resync it. - Needs an easier chart. Pending Circus Speedy Mix (Kommisar) - No real commentary. Layering's good and file's solid. - Needs an easier chart. Pending File queue is at 14 files.

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
I've got an easier chart planned for Pop but it's the dirty version, not the regular one.
If Kommer or Rog wanna send me the file I'll slap the chart on there and make it so you don't hafta bitch-slap them. Also, making minor techtweaks to Ecclesia since tiny issues have caught my attention.
