You need another folder inside that directory in order for the program to work. For example: Songs/My Creations/(Song).

The folder hierarchy is as such:

- "Songs" folder: all song-related stuff is added here
- "Group" folder: within the "Songs" folder you'll make a number of folders that designate as groups for individual songs. An example of such a folder: "DDR 5th Mix". In your case: "My Creations"
- individual songs folder: within each group folder are folders designated for each particular song you want to add. Each of these folders will typically include an audio file (e.g. .mp3), along with a .dwi and/or .sm file.

I think you may have simply forgotten that you needed to create group folders first before adding songs. See Dossar's example of a path. Hopefully you'll understand the organization a bit better.

Personally, I don't use many folders because then I'm not sure where my songs are on the list- it's better to just have one folder for all songs

or press left and right at the same time on the music select screen to change sorting options becasue I dunno, it works
