Ad Report
Okay, these ads on public FFR are out of control. I suggest that there are non-animated ads so the game can run the way its supposed to. Seriously, ads are not worth getting goods on songs.
This one REALLY ticks me off. Any others?

Re: Ad Report
The ones that if you accidentally roll-over, it will play a video, and it runs while playing, but it shows up behind the game. It causes extreme lag for me.

Re: Ad Report
I seem to recall it being suggested at one point that you should only ever be exposed to one pop-up-style ad per day.

Re: Ad Report
the issue is that we have a very very hard time controlling specific ads. we can only select campaigns through the different ad companies that we work with.... but then those campaigns have a plethora of different ads that they show.

What he's talking about is literally in the game just above the game window. XUioX, I usually can escape any major lag by right clicking on the ads that are animated and dropping their quality down to Low and also unclicking play and loop. Either that, or I refresh until I get a .jpg ad. There is one ad that I get monstrous lag from...if I see it again, I'll report it, but it's red and yellow with like these 4 characters and they literally spin like lottery wheels. That kind of animation just rapes my bandwidth, and what's worse is that I can't make that ad stop. I unclick play and loop and it still keeps going. |

Re: Ad Report
Ironically, Ads are all obstructions to begin with.
I noticed that some financial support ad had some complex graphic, which in turn made FFR lag and die. Also, I've been noticing that many many times, the server stops responding, or sometimes the browser hits the back button by itself, automatically leaving the game. Yeah, and adblock can target the single .swf or some other files to block them specifically. meaning if you register all FFR ads under the Adblock filter, you will NEVER see an ad again.
