stepmania without keys to press will never work with me, especially with the caliber of difficulty alot of people play on
does this support cmods, and noteskin customization? from screenshots, it looks like you can play kb style only while using downscroll. upscroll looks like it has a 4 directional d-pad which is bad and blocks view. |

I think it's safe to say that mobile rhythm gaming will never successfully catch on.
Though it is cool that you can use .SM's, I can see this being useful for judges or something that need to view files while they're on the move or something, given there's an autoplay mode.

Well go ahead and try..
You can chose falling/rising arrows and line/cross layout.. I prefer falling-line. I can add c-mod to future versions.. Quote:

I did try it, Not a fan.
You dont make many charts do you? Honestly, i think the worst part of this entire app was the charts, i played medium and hard and just wanted to uninstall it. Using a 2 finger setup was bad at best (#charts), so i had to switch to spread, and for my small smartphone and big hands, near impossible. While its a good idea, Its kinda like the DDR sim i had for my Razer, it was fun when you had to hit hard song notes 3 counts early cuz phone too slow to process it. I was also in middle school. As far as this goes, I may be interested in playing 1 "real" song on it, but thats about all. You have lots of options, thats a plus.

Re: [Announcement] DDR/Stepmania in your pocket
Well:
Graphics Beatmaniac is a stepmania/DDR simulator Beatmaniac supports holds, rolls, mines, stops, bpm changes... p.s. if you promote other game on a thread of game of someone else, at least try to make it relevant to the discussion and play the game Last edited by BeatManiacGame; 09-1-2014 at 02:03 AM.. |

mn was asking a legitimate question, obviously he's played tapmania, and the question was basically asking you why he should try your game - the condescending remarks dont' help much lol

The demo songs and world charts were made by me. Due to lack of my free time i focus more on the game itself, not on the charts. You can play as many charts as you wish. Beatmaniac is a Stepmania DDR simulator so it can play almost any sm/dwi file. If not, feel free to send me the smzip to beatmaniac(at)maniacs.sk and i can fix that. The download section just contains some links to get you started if you are new in the world of DDR/Stepmania. It is a matter of taste - so its up to you to find your own favourites As for the performance - i always test on sony xperia mini pro-an 3.2inch screen, 400 antutu points, 4years old - so really small crappy phone. So unless you are experiencing lags - its probably just a bad delay calibration. Go to settings/set delay to fix that. For the buttons. Try to play different layouts (line/cross, rising/falling, tapbox offset, speed multiplies..) There is a lot that can be customized in Settings/Advanced |

I don't know, he made other threads indirectly promoting tapmania. I played that game and that are the differences i found. What is wrong about me having an opinion?

Nice. Looks like it's worth a shot. I wonder if it supports connected keyboard keys. Yep, looks like it does. Pretty sweet

Re: [Announcement] DDR/Stepmania in your pocket
Using a dance mat sounds like it would be pretty hilarious.
Anyways, I prefer it over the other Stepmania simulator on Android, but I have major problems with the "wait 30 seconds" thing on the free version and I'm broke as hell.

Re: [Announcement] DDR/Stepmania in your pocket
It's cool that it supports keyboards and all that jazz, it's just..how many people actually have a on the go cable? I know I don't. Even if I did..why would I carry a keyboard around with me? That'd just be odd.
Sorry to be such a negative nancy.
