Default Weird Download on Forums?

Hey so I am low on time but I wanted to make this post:

I was viewing and posting in TWG (The Werewolf Game) forum and when I attempted to leave (by clicking any link on the page, like the FFR logo at the top to return to the home page) Something tried to downloaded onto my computer. Of course I declined, but where-ever I clicked it tried to download something. I was wondering if anyone else is encountering this?

Not sure if thread worthy, sorry if its not. Just curious. Thx.

(In before its something common and im just really damn stupid)

Was it trying to download a .php file? Happens to me whenever I go to a brag board thread.

If cedolad is right, then it means that whatever php file that was, it wasn't configured to load on to the browser; rather, it was left on a default setting of having the user download it immediately as it was clicked. This is more of a policy thing that needs to be configured by the admins.

Some browsers might also be missing plug-ins needed to view content (e.g. Flash 11 popped up for me when I wanted to see a youtube video). I don't know what the file name or extension is for your problem Xiz, but what I've described might be the issue.

Also, which browser are you using? It's not happening to me on firefox

If it's a .php file, it might just be a thing about downloading the page. Happens to me often cause I suck at clicking.

Maybe you were accidentally holding alt while you clicked
