I'd say beatMARIO, only becuase the others say beatMARIO.

Edit: Upon further research it appears C&C is like a label and BeatMARIO is an artist on it, if I'm not mistaken.
Does that mean we only have permission for beatMARIO tracks or for all C&C tracks... this is getting confusing haha.
Are you sure you got EVERYTHING? ;D
CCCD-0001 to CCCD-0016, R! T! S! and the 石鹸屋&COOL&CREATE&LIVE&DOJO&あまねりお DVD?

And C&C is not beatMARIO alone but alot of other artists as well. So I'd say no, we don't have the entire label's permission.
Someone might have messed up the tagging on some of the stuff you got, but Cool&Create is not an artist.

I have a total of 13 albums so not quite EVERYTHING but most

Also you think it would be possible to get all of their permission? That would be amazing.

Also guys interested in stepping:

This site tells you all of beatMARIO's works so you don't step something we don't have permission for by accident

http://vgmdb.net/artist/955

EDIT: Well it doesn't tell you all of his works but most, should be helpful and is the most complete list i could find.

EDIT 2: We really need to get myu314's permission he makes a lot of songs on the C&C albums.

http://www006.upp.so-net.ne.jp/myu/ (myu@js9.so-net.ne.jp appears to be his email address, go get the permission my japanese speaking friends )

If the song isn't too repetitive and you have the ability to induce variety into the simfile, then it doesn't hurt to try. I think there may be a physical limit as to the max length of the mp3, but I'm not sure. It's certainly longer than 5 minutes, so don't worry about that.

The physical limit is a bit longer than World Tour is.

It's based on a hard limit in how many frames a flash file can have and FFR's 30 fps running pace.

But IIRC they think that even that limit can be surpassed, but I don't know much about flash. Just going off what they've said.

Though if you're going to step a song over 6 minutes it better be good.

CBR's Mini Guide to Stepping BeatMARIO

Going back once again to the BeatMARIO subject, with a little help from SF I figured out the kanji for beatMARIO and made this little reference-picture:

Just check the official C&C website > CD > then whichever album you want to and you'll have a tracklisting with artist. If it's the kanji posted above feel free to step it:

Hope this little guide helps people who like the music and are interested in stepping it but do not understand japanese (like me -___-)

You can use ALL songs in any of cool&create's CDs, independent of the song author.

As for IOSYS's song, recommendation of song length is under 2:00 (at most, 2:30).
The reason is the author(IOSYS) said.
If the song is originally under 2:00, you don't have to cut it.

oh I should go get some when I have time.

tass definitely has all batch notes this time so he can start whenever he feels like it

songs I might step for next batch:
{A Change of Seasons} - cornandbeans (easy file)
Time/Forgive and Forget - Drumcorps (figuring out a keysounding/layering system for those ****ing drum samples is augh)
The Fusion - Silex Wan
??? - orange dust
??? - doormouse damnit
some random vsnares that I can make different from a typical vsnares file maybe? like sky painted on a car or something
Gateway/Suffering or some other Renard (straight forward file)
maybe Asteroid Run by Rushjet1 if I feel like a simple file
maybe try and get Bouff in again cuz seriously

Aw, I saw A Change of Seasons and thought we got permission from Dream Theater.

I haven't stepped anything in forever. However, at the rate this batch is taking, I'll probably finish the midi and step Raindrop Prelude. Maybe I'll work on that tonight.
